My vote is with G1 Optimus Prime. I agree he had moments when he lost a battle or had less than inspiring comments but still he appeared and acted more like a leader in the animated series & movie than the live action version. Still I do like the raw violence in the LA ver. :-?

Both Primes are the same in my book. One was just more suited for a wider range audience the other was just for the 7 to 13 audience.

I totally agree. I would say that, that was the biggest difference between the two. I love both Primes, I really do but I can't see any other difference between the two other than what age range they were aimed at.
