Ant-man will be directed by LEGEND Edgar wright. I live in sandford(real name Wells) from hot fuzz! It's so cool seeing it in a cinema.
Unfortunately, Ant-man will apparently not be a spoof.

I just finished reading the book (have yet to see the film) which was adapted directly from the screenplay and, in many places, reads like a script. So, nothing posted has been a spoiler for me, but what I really want to know...does Stark really play "...And Justice For All" by Metallica when he's going into his first fight with the terrorists in his new suit?? (according to the book, he then switches the song to Black Sabbaths "Iron Man")
Also, very cool to find out that the Hugh Heffner scene was kept in. It was written in such a way that, in the book, there was no mistaking that it was Stan Lee. In fact the whole book was written so well with so many details and nuances so vividly explained that it was probably the fastest I have ever gone through a novel. It felt like I was actually experiencing a movie and, knowing who was playing which part in the movie, it really made the dialogue that much more memorable.
Oh, and is there a flashback scene showing how "Pepper" got her job and her name? I know that some stuff doesn't always make it to screen that's in the novel just due to time constraints but I'm hoping this scene made it. It's funny as hell in the book.

I saw it opening day and loved it more than I thought I would.

This was one of the most wonderful superhero movies ever. The writing was perfect, the acting was believable and never lacking realism, and the special effects and action was beyond belief.

I'm not a professional Iron Man specialist, but this movie helped concrete him as my favorite Marvel hero.

Also, the jokes were the funniest I have seen in a while. I'm a person who hardly ever laughs in the movie theater, but there were plenty of times when I and everyone else in the theater were pretty much on the floor laughing our a$$es off. Especially the first flight test scene. PERFECT!

I also enjoyed the Ten Rings connection, but it seemed that I and three guys who were two rows in front of me were the only people to get it. So we were the only nerds in the theater. :-B

The only thing that didn't stick out for some reason was that it seemed as though there was something missing in the development of Iron Monger. I can't put my finger on it, but it seems like there was something missing.

All-in-all, this movie gets a 9.8 out of 10.

I got to see it a second time and I noticed the music more and it helped to enhance what was going on, especially in the office scene between Stane and Pepper. Even though I knew what was going to happen I still felt the tension and the feeling of not being sure what would happen. I'm going to have to look through the soundtrack when i'm at the store and see if it's just bands or if it's got music from the movie.

I about fell out of my chair on that one! "Let's try 10% power." BAM! ROFL - I'm chuckling just thinking about the scene...

I agree, a tiny bit missing from Iron Monger, so 9.8/10!

Loved this movie, way to start the summer. Too bad Speed Racer is going to be a weak sophomore entry on this years summer slate.

I've seen IM twice and I'm going to see it one more time as an appetizer, so to speak, before I see The Incredible Hulk on June 14. Yeah I know TIH opens on the 13th but I do have to work.

That's a rip from the MarvelKids site.

Anybody noticed that the Spidey in there is exactly the same as the one in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance?

Both are made by Activision, so i guess they just used the same skin.

Iron Man's tough and all, but I'd like to think that floating a couple hundred feet away from a thermo nuke when it goes off would do more than make him grunt.

I was expecting him to use repulsors to help launch the thing far, far away. He just kinda pushed it.

It's funny, but if you go and listen to the children's audio book adventure from the 1980's, it's amazing how much this sound nearly identical to the first 40 minutes of the movie.

Your pushing it a bit there buddy. There are some similarities but there's almost nothing thats "nearly identical" to the movie.

About the only thing is how that other prisoner gave his life to help Tony but even in that there are differences.
