I've got a somewhat interesting problem

Welcome to the General Discussion area where just about anything goes! This area is designed to discuss all matters and does not necessarily have to be Transformers related. Please keep topics relevant.

You might as well just cut your hair. I used to have braids about by four years and I just cut my hair.

Mine's been pretty long (past my shoulders, check out the start of the Ugly Mugs thread) for about four years now. I used to get hassle for it all the time, but I keep it in better condition than the most image-conscious model, so what was initially disgust (ZOMG! HIPPY!) is now awe (ZOMG! SO SOFT AND SHINY!) and I have won.

I bet you are one hot lady when you get your hair did. Hell, you've got prettier hair than I do.

Devastator wrote:Hey guys, I was encourged to post more here so here goes. I've got a problem and I'm not exactly sure how to handle it. I'm not very good handling problems so maybe someone can help me.

I have long hair and someone told me I should get it cut short. In fact, they're being more than insistant. They say "it's up to you to tell me how you want me to cut your hair." I never wanted to have my hair cut in the first place and this person keeps insisting that this is my problem to figure out and not his. I tried to explain to this person that he has the situation backwards, but he just doesn't seem to get it.

How can I tell this person that if he wants me to cut my hair short, it's up to him to convince me that it's a good idea, not the other way around?

A site mod with 25 posts? Wow.

I'm sorry, but before this thread I never knew you existed. :P

Moonbase2 hit the nail on the head. It's your hair, tell em to sod off.

I don't plan on having a proper hair cut any time in the next 5 years. Just end trims to get rid of split ends, and nourishment treatment to keep it healthy.

Long hair = awesomeness.

But then, I intend to make it as a rock star, so I don't know if it'd work properly in normal everyday life... :-?

I don't "get it did", I wash and condition it myself. And I've also broken two hairbrushes brushing it. But it's worth it.

LOL, I'd like to hear an Irish person say "get my hair did". I think it's funny that a lot of men with long hair put as much work and thought into it than a lot of women do. No, long hair doesn't work in the corporate world, unless you're the boss's kid or something. You have to look pretty clean cut. Me, I like short hair, but facial hair is good. As long as the neck is shaved. After that, go nuts.

Soon as I find that MP3 player of mine (it's got some kind of voice recording deal going on) I'll let you know what it sounds like.

I've never had long hair (mostly because it curls and grows out to the sides Krusty style too much) but I did "Shave for a Cure" a few years ago which was for the Leukaemia Foundation. Raised about $250AU for them doing it.

Now if you'll excuse me I need to go bash my head against the wall to get this image of JP sitting in front of his mirror brushing his hair while singing "I feel pretty, oh so pretty ..."

Wow, I never imagined to get such a response to this topic. Thanks for all of your suggestions people, it really means a lot to me and I'll try and put them to practice. I really want people to like me even if they're weirdos.

I understand that man. I really haven't made myself known here but I will be changing that. This whole Transfans forum thing is relatively new to me as I've only ever regulared the Transtopia forums. Perhaps you've seen some of my work though! I did some really kick-ass gestalt customs. Devastator, Bruticus, Abominus, Defensor, and Computron.

OMG NOT WEIRDOS!!!!!111

:-P

The best thing is to be a weirdo yourself, but subtly. Then people will say, "oh that kid with the studded collar is a weird guy," and you can say "Hey, I'm a weird guy!" And they all laugh because they didn't really think of you as such, but then they notice you are kind of, but they like you all the better for it.

(No, I don't have a studded collar. Honestly I don't.)
Buy my RiD toys! They're awesome, I promise!!!!

Oh, I'm a very strange person I'd like to think. I say weird things a lot and I love to annoy people. I don't have a lot of that thing called "shame" people talk so much about and I don't like being serious more than I am humorous.
