Well, first of all you need a wireless router/ USB connection device....

Just go for autoscan. Don't try messing around with manual, as it's just to messy.

Whenever I try autoscan, it doesn't work, so I figured I'd try to do it manually. But every time I try, it just won't work, even if I'm sure I have all the info correct.

Is your router locked?

I can't say I can be of much service here. Mine worked fine from day 1, so I'm not too sure what the problem is.

I suggest emailing nintendo help.
