Hii Again.

I Have a little question regarding Optimus Prime and Megatron, i need to know the meanings of Optimus Prime And Megatron names, not the traduction to my native language (Spanish), i need the meaning, like Optimus Prime means "leadr of the autobots" something like that.

If I remember they really don't have a meaning beyond being a cool name that they were given by I think a combination of hasbro execs and people at Marvel Comics.

Not fully sure but:
Optimus Prime is just a working on the word Optimal (the best) and the use of Prime as in Prime Number 1.
Megatron is a play on Megaton.

The meaning of OP's name is best explained in Latin. Thank the Lord I took it for two years, eh?

Optimus means "excellent" and prime means "one". Like the number one. First.

And yeah, Megatron's name was just something they based off the word megaton, in order to get something sinister.
