Thanks guys. Yeah, the front of the car mode has some gaps where the bot shoulders slide in. I was not able to compress them any more due to size limitations of the car shell. I may have to fill the gaps in with styrene strips. Right now it looks ok but I'll have to see if those gaps start to bother me once complete.

Well, here are some pics of the finished prototype. G1 styled weapons and some cool poses are featured. I also included an MP Prime shot for scale.
Let me know your thoughts!

And some cool action shots...

I used the hood hinges, the waist, and the center torso.
And here are alt mode pics...

That is so hot JAF! I love your work man, love it!! Excellent work with the decals, looks like the nose could have done with a bit more filler and sanding, but other than that, it looks very professional. What did you use to chrome the parts, like the spoiler etc?

Any chance that we can get some Transformation shots so we can understand exactly how he transforms or at the very least give us a bottom shot of the vehical mode?
I think some people that might be interested in doing this themselves might like to get some better ideas of how to go about it.

They're already chromed when you get the kit.

^^^ In that case, nice job keeping them so pristine JAF - I'm hopeless with 'special coating' models....always end up chipping something....or getting glue on it...heh!

Thanks Captain Crooks
. It's difficult to get good chrome finishes. There's one chrome spray paint I use that has decent results but nothing as mirroir-like as the good old vacuum chamber, heh.
TFM, here are some transformation shots for you. It's pretty much just like G1 Mirage...

The trickiest part is when rotating the waist. The forward leg has to be angled as shown in pics to clear the F1 shell.

How about closer shots of the Transformation areas like the hinge for the chest or even inside the chest area where the arms fold.
Legs are pretty self exsplaitory, it's from the waist up that people will need to figure out.
Oh, and HI! to the Guest!!!
