Most heroic deed
For you what is the most heroic deed committed by any Autobot/Maximal etc. in any of the continuities?
For me it's Dinobot attacking the Predacons while they destroyed the human valley, taking every last one of them out Rambo-style.
I'd also have to say I get chills every time I watch "Nemesis-Part 2" when Dinobot remembers this and refuses to fire on the humans

I think the Autobots,as a whole, are pretty heroic, defending races they dont know and willing to do the right thing in any place of the universe.

Cybertron had been rendered a dead planet. All Cybertronians had become lifeless, stripped of the very lifeforces. One despot had conquered the entire planet. All attempts to overthrow him by a small band of rebels had ultimately proven in vain. His total victory was imminent. His ascension to absolute sovereignty by absorbing the lives of those who had lived and who would come to live had commenced. His adversaries had fallen. All except a lone soldier who barely managed to hang onto his life, yet still refused to accept defeat. But his efforts were thus proven fruitless. The tyrant completed his ascension to godhood. The power of life was his to command. His first act, to ensure his supremacy, was to eradicate the very nature of the planet's core, leaving it in a state much more suited to his liking. In the final moments, the lone hero, having regained his confidence, made one final stand against the villain, who was then assaulted by his own throne. The hero pressed on, forcing the tyrant to fall, plummeting both of themselves into the core, where each met their final demise. The planet was resurrected and refitted with a new chance for life and salvation for all of its inhabitants, thanks to the brave actions of Optimus Primal: Cybertron's Greatest Hero.

He was going to die anyway, so why not remove his spark to make the process easier?
I'm surprised no one here has mentioned Tigerhawk yet... Or Transmutate for that matter, and Armada Starscream, energon Inferno, and lest we forget What would have been an epic hero act of the Twins in DOTM, but since they were cut out...I guess go read the book.

Tigerhawk didn't really sacrifice himself nobly. He was just murdered in cold blood, er, mech fluid, or whatever.BeastProwl wrote:I'm surprised no one here has mentioned Tigerhawk yet... Transmutate's death was an accident.
Armada Starscream's death is a yes, but it was demeaned by his cannon blasts failing to hit Unicron, and Sideways getting away with the Star Saber. All it did was help unite the two factions, but it could have made an even bigger impact had these two intereferences not come to pass.
Energon Inferno's suicide was all for nothing, since it's only a few minutes later that we're told that his spark was recovered. And then he's revived as Roadblock one episode later, only to do absolutely nothing worth mentioning for the rest of the series. Plus, his suicide itself was a cheap cop-out of his potentially interesting subplot in which he fights his inner demons to keep from turning evil.
I'm not too sure many would be sad about Skids and Mudflap being killed by Sentinel.

But then you go and watch the japanese versions of all thos series and believe me, the emotions run deep. Same with the death of Vector Prime, not a big thing in TF Cybertron, but really Sad in Galaxy Force....

"Sad" and "emotional" doesn't always equal "heroic". None of these characters (save for maybe Armada Screamer) died a hero's death.BeastProwl wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Tigerhawk didn't really sacrifice himself nobly. Prime's actions overall were more heroic/important, but one mustn't forget Ratchet was a non-combat medic who was 'armed' with laser scalpels that tickled Megatron... and I believe he saved the Autobots... what, three or four times and was 2-0 against Megatron?
