My Robo Prime with Knife hand!

Postby blueprimal » Tue Jul 24, 2007 4:47 pm

Just though I'd share a photo of my mod with Robo Vision Prime's hand...the original hand is stored in the back of Prime's backpack for interchangeability.

what'd you make the knife from? another toy? if you want, take this over to the kitbash section and we could discuss further.. it's a great idea

It is obviously Cybertron Defense Hotshot's knife. Looks pretty good though.

Hey yeah I didn't know if I should post this here or the kitbash section...would a Mod move this thread? thanks...
My son was playing with his Cybertron Defense HotShot, and suddenly it struck me!!! :-?
I saw that the knife was kinda like Prime's Movie knife and the color matched Robo Vision Prime's Color so took a pocket knife and whittled a little off the handle and the inside of Prime's wrist socket. Then take a lighter and burn the end of the knife and push that against a metal surface to set the plastic and create a ledge and it locks perfectly in prime's wrist with a snap.

Im a little surprised at how well CD Hot Shot's knife works in with Robo Prime. I always thought it was a tithe short for CD, I mean it ain't as long as Optimus's sword in the actual film, but it still looks pretty darn good.

Nice find.

Yeah I really like it...now I just diplay the robo prime with the knife hand...I might try to find another sword that looks more like the movie one and paint it orangy...better still if I can find a clear orange sword...I'm gonna keep an eye out for $1 toys at the dollar shops for parts...
Right now I also display it standing on my 20th anniversary Prime's stand. After putting in that knife hand I think my son now wants Bonecrusher... But he's so tiny, n looks like a Bionicle. Anyone knows if they are coming out with a bigger Bonecrusher?
