Dude I love the Skull Leader VF-11B. And it is definetly posted in the right spot. The VF-11B is actually one second fav design (after the YF-19). I have both of the yamato 1/27nd versions. I wish they would have done some cool repaints like that... I also hope they do a 1/60th version of it.

Thanks. You should see some of the headsculpts for it I'm doing. I've got a modified 1S head that I may use, or I might use an original design from a Gundam mg kit (the Quell).

Re: Cyclone Pre-order!!
Thanks for that. Wasn't expecting Toynami to do anything. They look ok but $80 for them? who are they kidding? Suppose I'll have to buy them anyway just so they can finally produce that damn Beta...

After my MP Alpha with its' brittleness and capacity to fall apart, my 1/100 set of VTs with their cracked rubber stands, I'd just rather sit this one out - particularly since they really don't look all that good imo, and the price is yet again too high.
Will stick with Yamato - especially given that Yamato is bringing out the SV, and the Shin 0A w/Ghost... two far superior toys to these things...

Sort of old but on the Robotech III: Oddessy blog there is a short video of the new Leigoss and Tread figures by CM. which is here on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftYA3vRP ... t%2Ecom%2F
I really would not have spent all that money on those Toynami Alphas if I knew these guys were coming out. But I've learned my lesson, I'll never buy from Toynami ever again.
Unless they make kick ass hovertanks

Yeah, i think we all learned a lesson about Toynami. I've been watching those for a while now (the CM's) and I'm still curious what the scale is. That Beta looks big as hell.

well, Graham from Macrossworld commented that the Legioss Fighter is as big as an MPC Alpha fighter so I`d guess the CMS Lgeioss and Thread set is scaled at 1/55 same as the MPC Alpha`s.and as for Hovertanks...how about the Ajax veritech?Godmodule wrote:the purifyer wrote:Sort of old but on the Robotech III: Oddessy blog there is a short video of the new Leigoss and Tread figures by CM. which is here on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftYA3vRP ... t%2Ecom%2F

Hey welcome to Seibertron.com brokendan! I hope you enjoy your stay.
As for the rest of yea, sorry I have been absent from the thread for awhile. I went to Seattle to see my Girl Friend and finalize some move plans. But now I am back and I am going to post a few new galleries (that I have promised).

Isn't there some welcome due, something like:
 WARNING: Seibertron.com contains nuts!!!
Anyway, I've been away for a bit and just wanted to voice my mixed feelings on the Alpha/Beta. On the one hand I am so friggin' pumped to see the real possibility of this making it to the market place (over/under on the price at $150?). It's about time we get a Beta that combines with Alphas.
On the other hand, there are a few things that make me cringe. The overall shape is so close, but just a little bit off. The "shoulder" humps appear to be a bit to level with the central cockpit section. And the sixpack missile rack that pops up over the "head" (for lack of a better term for a mostly headless Batteroid mode) sticks up just a bit too far in fighter mode. Where is my Cronicles syncrocannon kitbash gonna go?
[/nitpicking]
[Edit] Oh, did someone mention something about a Hovertank??!!!?@#231>@.,oneoneeleven!!

I'm sort of lukewarm to the Beta. I like it, I want one, but I'm having trouble seeing why I should spend so much on an ugly brick (which it is in battroid mode) when I could buy a Yamato 1/48 for the same price. I guess I'll make the decision when I see it, I'm not as much an alpha/mospeada freak as some others. On a side note, I'm getting rid of some excess Yamato Macross stuff, PM me if you're interested.

brokendan wrote:yea i think ill like it here. i have a sort of noobish question to ask. do the strike packs fit any of the vf's that are the same scale or certain brand strike packs only fit certain brand vf's?
Yes. The latter, I believe. I think you have to keep consistent to the brand. From what I know, the mounting points on the Yamato I have are very different from the Bandai, though they are also different scales. I don't have any of the same scale to be sure, but I think it only makes sense that different companies would have different mounting systems.

(I answer to Ag or Ags. Agamemnon is too long to type. Plus, there is something elemental about calling me Ag.

there is the scale issue with Yamato yeah BUT...the older 1/60 VF-1 models lack the connectionpoints for the FAST/Strike packs.only armor that works on all types in that range is the GBP-01 armor which snapfits around all the components and has a special heatshield to mount on the VF-1 you`re using it on.I`ll see if I can take photo`s this week of the diferences.Agamemnon wrote:brokendan wrote:yea i think ill like it here. i have a sort of noobish question to ask. do the strike packs fit any of the vf's that are the same scale or certain brand strike packs only fit certain brand vf's?

One thing that should be mentioned is that the armor for the recent Bandai reissues does not fit on older Bandai VF's from 1984. On the topic of the Beta's and such my GaoFaiGar was made by CMS and overall was a good figure although a bit top heavy. It's not a "perfect" transformation due to having to add and remove parts but it's better than nothing.

just a word of advice Brokendan, the GPB-01 armor is also known as the sumosuit for the VF-1`s.basicly, a valk in a GPB-01 cannot transform until the armor is jetisoned.
