Odd PS3 problem

Postby Galvatron628 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 12:31 am

So I had my PS3 turned on and both my controllers were going dead, however I only have one charge cable. Then I remembered my wife's MP3 Player has a USB cable with the exact mini-USB plug thats on the PS3, only problem is its only 3 inches long! So I went to plug the first one in, and I picked up the system and moved it while it was turned on and all of a sudden the video signal went out! I checked the connections, HDMI still plugged into both.

Now I turned it on and off several times but the Video signal wouldn't come back on! Eventually I flipped the switch in the back, and pulled the power cord out, waited 30 seconds, then it fired up fine with no issues.

Are you not supposed to move a PS3 while its turned on? I just hope this isn't a recurring issue!

Odd. I can't say I move mine around a lot but it shouldn't have the effect you described. It might've just been a wire coming loose as you moved it.
