I'm Making an Omega Supreme Toy
Hello everyone. For the past few weeks I have been working on an Omega Supreme toy that will be mass producible and will NOT cost 3000+ dollars. Please let me know what you think of this idea. When my toy comes out hopefully within 4 weeks I will post and tell you here. It will also show up here http://www.shapeways.com/shops/NoahCox. Thank you.

Well, the legs are done. The body just needs a little more smoothing out. After that I will work on the head.
Omega Supreme +

I'm gonna move this to the toys forum, also editing the title to attract more attention.
I too am interested to see the outcome. What material are you planing to use? Overall size? Transformation ability? Retail opportunities?

You will be able to order it in any material. The size is to be determined but I think that it will be about the size of a movie leader. It will transform. And anyone will be able to buy this and as many as they want.

I'll take a gold plated version and a painted diecast/plastic mix version

JK, I am interested to see pics and would be interested in buying, depending on the look/price, although I have a hard time believeing that "anyone will be able to buy this and as many as they want" cause if it is anywhere near half way decent you will have at least 100 requests from people on here! Mybe you should contact Fans Project? They have a great reputation and I am sure they are looking for other opertunites!
Check out my sales thread, plenty of Generations, and Reveal the Shield figures for sale!!

What I get from that site is that the artist uploads a 3D model. And the potential customer gets to order the 3D model and choose which material the site should use for it, they print it out with he 3D printer and send you the model. So basically you'll have to order each piece separately and assembly it yourself and theoretically there will be an unlimited amount of these Omega Supreme figures.

Ah. That explains a lot. Still I look forward to seeing the final product.

So this is the Transformers Animated version? I'm looking forward to seeing this in completion. Honestly, I love the one that was done by Marks Projects...but I don't think I'd ever be able to afford his price.
Keep the information coming.

Good Morning People. I spent over 4 hours almost straight last night finishing the model. I will begin the uploads today. However it does take a long time change the formats of these models before I even start the upload. So you can expect pics on my site and the models should be up before tomorrow. It it is not to your satisfaction, post on this forum or comment on my site and I will do my best to solve the problem.

He says, just in the post above yours that the models will be up tomorrow, the link exists to show us what he means and how it works.

Re: I'm Making an Omega Supreme Toy
Sorry Guys, another setback. This computer is so slow at prepping the model for upload. Another change the size will be around the size of a deluxe class. If it was the size of leader class the price would be astronomical. 1 part is up now more will follow soon.

I was checking the site. I like the idea of being able to pick the materials. A polished stainless steel one would be wicked, but pricey. I, personally, do not care about the size seeing as to how most of Transformers are out of scale with each other anyways.
Can't wait to see more.

There is a problem with the body of Omega that I am trying to solve. It is so frustrating
. While I try to fix that, the other parts will be uploaded. Thank you for your patience

Once everything is finished and uploaded, could you post a few pics of the completed model showing it from a few sides and stuff like that so that I can news post this?

The model is finally done!
. Its total cost is $365.65. Much more than I was expecting. But 3d printing is expensive.

Re: I'm Making an Omega Supreme Toy
Ok, I've got a few questions? Will you be ordering one of these before you try to sell it for simple QC? I'd actually like to see what it looks like as something real, not just a model. Given that, can you upload some pictures of the finished product showing both modes? I'm also guessing that this will be "Assembly Required" as well as having to paint it. If that is true, could you give some options for colour scheme and type of paint to use?
I ask about the painting because I've never tried such a thing with my figs and I am also, admittedly, colorblind to a point. If I am paying that amount of money for a one of a kind fig, I want it as close to perfect as I can get it.

It is about 6 inches tall. I am going to test it small scale before I recommend that you buy the large version.
