Optimus Prime's Symbol
Re-watching the G1 cartoons, I noticed that Optimus Prime only has his symbol on his left shoulder. Is this true in the comics, or am I going crazy?
If it is the case, I may take off the right symbol on my Encroe Prime...

I think in the Cartoon his symbol is constantly changing locations. Some times it won't be there at all, other times it's on the right, then the left, and verry rarly on both.

BTW, did anyone else have trouble getting his shoulder symbol deals o the original? Cuz I did on the TRU reissue, with all those little bumbs there...
I think the Encore improves that a LOT.
I am just worried he isn't gonna fit in since hw actually had paint and not decals on him...

I had no problem with the original.Nor have i had any problems with any of the Takara reissues but I had some with the U.S. reissues from TOYS R US, K-Bee's Sideswipe and Walmart's Ultra Magnus reissues.I think the Takara reissues use better glue on their stickers. They dont have such strick safty regulations with their toys.

It's possible he was facing the mirror on some of those pages.

Saber Prime is so over-whelmed by the animation errors and inconsistencies in the G1 cartoon that he sometimes makes up new ones. Best not to worry about it.
Cartoon Prime only had an insignia on his left shoulder, hence Masterpiece Prime only having an insignia on his left shoulder.

Definately leave the sticker on both shoulders. as has been mentioned, it was only in the cartoon where he only had it on the left shoulder. in all other media, the symbols are on both. This is also very appropriate from a militaery perspective since Prime is a combat veteran. In the US Army, soldiers who have not been to a combat deployment only have their unit patch on their left shoulder. If they are deployed to a combat zone, they get to wear the "combat patch" once they come back, which is the unit patch of the unit they served with in the combat zone, worn on their right shoulder. Prime has been to combat, thus, it is fully appropriate for him to wear his "unit patch" (the Autobot symbol) on his right shoulder as well as his left.

Optimus Prime's Symbol
I barely notice the symbol moving on his arms. I did notice the changing on the trailer. Several episodes of original G1 1st 2 seasons, the symbols on both sides, and a few (I don't remember which exactly) the symbol is not on the trailer at all.
