My friend claims that there are several more Transformers movies besides the one from 1986 and the Michael Bay travesty. Is he correct? I was only aware of the 1986 and 2007 movies.

Get this friend to clarify. I wouldn't say there are several more. Maybe he says that Rebirth is one movie. Dunno.

If this is the case then I'd say no because Rebirth was not originally aired that way. Rebirth was first written as a five part ending to the series but they were told to cut it down to three parts which is further demonstrated in the poorer quality animation as it had to be rushed to be finished and pretty manic story line too.

I still like it but the introduction of so many characters / toys all at once was too much to keep track of long before the days where VHS machines were as common as tv's and toasters or at least in my house growing up.

On the Rhino dvd's there is the option to view Rebirth as one continuos episode or movie but it was separated.
