You've got it the other way around. They won't be able to get companies that make construction vehicles to see it as a product placement and bankroll the movie.

Why not? Think about it, what company wouldn't want a freeish product placement. I mean we had freaking Mountian dew in a transformers movie, why not some good construction equimpent. By the way if they can build a kick ass Eva unit for the live Action Eva movies, why not have ILM crack their knuckles and pull this off? I mean they pulled off Roger Rabbit in the 80s, this should be a snap.
