Robots without voices

Postby craggy » Sun Oct 13, 2013 11:30 am

There's a lot of characters in the Transformers universe. A lot of them haven't shown up in any audio-visual media. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas as to how some of these bots sound?

Personally, when I look at my HFTD Axor, I can't help but hear the voice of Star Wars Clone Wars character Cad Bane. I always think of DOTM Human Alliance Sandstorm (the green jeep thing) having a vaguely English military accent, but not a fully RP one, more like a Sean Bean.

Anyone else have any suggestions for non-show bots voices?

I could see Drift sounding like Chris Hemsworth.

Cabin In The Woods Hemsworth maybe, not so much Thor.

edit: speaking of which - Tom "Loki" Hiddleston for Pharma?

Pharma is more of a Joker type in my head. Troy Baker, rather than Mark Hamill, would do well!

Drift.. Hm. Chris Pine or Evans actually sound better suited for the hot-shot-turned-spiritual. Evans even more, actually.

Jhiaxus should be voiced by William Defoe.

which makes IDW Arcee into Ellen Page. :)

more I look at them, the more I think the TFPrime Predacons should all sound like Klingons.

Overlord - Hugo Weaving's Megatron voice

Nautilator - Frank Welker's Megatron voice

Swerve - Bumper Robinson

Nightbeat - Jeffrey Combs

Sunstorm - Chris Latta's Reflector voice. The multiple voices lend themselves to his possession.

Fortress Maximus - Sean Connery

Scorponok - Frank Welker's Dr. Claw voice.

Thunderwing - Arthur Burghardt's Destro voice

Needlenose - Townsend Coleman's Michaelangelo voice
