Sari is an anagram of Arsi which sounds a lot like Arcee. Could Sari be Arcee? Also, it was mentioned at the Botcon panel that someone is not a girl. Some people thought that meant BA. That TFs don't have genders.

Well what if that someone not being a girl is really Sari?!

What if Megatron wasn't the only bot Sumdac recovered?

What if Sumdac recovered a badly damaged female adult robot, Arcee? So badly damaged that her spark was fading and she was dying. What if Sumdac, trying everything he could, concluded that he could not save her body from death and her spark from extinguishment.

What if Sumdac got ahold of some human zygote or fetus growing in a lab? Or perhaps, before working with robotics, he worked in some top-secret human cloning lab?

What if, in trying to save Arcee's spark, he put it inside one of those test tube human fetuses. The spark somehow was able to survive and disbursed itself completely throughout the developing human's body. It took over all brain processes and was essentially the lifeforce and soul of that human.

What if this is what Sari is: a perfectly normal organic human girl with Arcee's spark in her. Her mind and soul are therefore that of Arcee?

Imagine the plot twists if this is true.

Sari seems to resent being treated like a helpless human girl at times. What if she found out that she was never a girl, because she's got the spark of an adult female Autobot inside of her.

Would she become like Blackarachnia and start resenting her organic body? Would she desire to become an Autobot again? Especially if she is continuously treated like a helpless human girl? Would she, like Blackarachnia, start to hate and resent her body and do anything to get her spark out of it and back into what she use to be?

Would this cause Sari to understand and sympathize more with Blackarachnia and her plight?

Good theory, but how did Arcee get to earth?

Or maybe Sumdac=Mud sac, so in reality he's just a bag of wet dirt.

So, if you rearrange the letters in Sari, you get a nonexistent word like sounds vaguely like the name of another Transformer who only appeared in a set of flashbacks.

I mean, we know Sari isn't human, but making her Arcee is a huge stretch.

She's more likely to be in some sort of robot mental institution. Since the Decepticon threat had pretty much been removed since her mind-wipe, there'd be no reason for her to leave Cybertron.

In order for any of this to have ANY weight you first have to exsplain how Arcee got to Earth in the first place.

Well but Sumdac does not know as much as a fart about Sparks.

But other then that and the question how Arcee would end up on earth along with Megatron's head, this is an interesting theory.

And you have to ask yourself why the authors chose to have Arcee's mind wiped clean. Because this would further make it impossible for Sari to remember who she was if she is indeed Arcee?

Maybe someone else took her to Earth for some reason. Maybe a Decepticon, after battling some Autobots, captured her and took off into space only to crash on Earth sometime later. Maybe Sumdac found Arcee and the Decepticon. Maybe the Decepticon was killed, but Arcee was still alive, though barely and close to death.

Two reasons, working together:

In story, was character development for Ratchet, since he was so plagued by guilt because he had to mind-wipe her.

Outside of the story, it was so they wouldn't need to use her again.

She was Transmutate, dude. She was there as part of the story, to progress one character's development, then die in the end.

1. Sari is an anagram for Arsi...what is Arsi? Her name is an anagram for a made-up word? That doesn't make sense.

2. Even if she WAS somehow named for Arcee, how did Sumdac get her name? Arcee had her memory wiped, and she didn't know her name. Even if it was in logs on the computer, Sumdac wouldn't have had any way of knowing how to work them.

3. And this is the big one: How did she get to Earth? None of the examples you posted made sense, since in the millions of years between her memory wipe and the beginning of the series, the Decepticons were defeated.

As much as I'd hate to add to the whole "Sari is Arcee" thing, it's possible Ratchet took her to Earth while the war was still going on. It allso might be possible that Arcee didn't actully forget her name but just got scambled so she thought her name was something else, Sari.

This still wouldn't make any sence as to how Sumdac could have put Arcee's Spark into an organic body or why she'd even need a new body.

As for Arsi being a word that doesn't exsist, technically speaking Arcee is a word that doesn't exsist. Her name is based off of the Radio Controlled toy cars, R.C.

I believe he was comparing Animated Arcee's role in the episode to that of Transmutate.The both were intended on being disposable characters whos only reason for existing was to serve as plot device's for those episodes.

I havent been doing very well....my kidneys are failing at a faster rate and I've been in and out of the doctors offices more then you can guess.

Yeah, that's what I meant. The fact that Susan Blu voiced both of them (Which crossed my mind while I was writing it) is irrelevant.

It is possible for Arcee to be used again in TFA but the Sari connection is a big stretch I find hard for them to pull of. That said her is one option.

Arcee's blanks spark was taken by Megs during the war. G1 Megs had a energy gimic (heart of cyberton) for an epi while WW Megs had a fission reactor (glowing yellow spot), and BW Megs had a spark (G1 Meg's). The premise would be that Megs had two sparks in his frame and sumdac 'studied one' in his efforts to work in bio medical science... this resulted in the spark being absorbed by Sari's host body. Sumdac convinced himself that the spark wasn't really alive because he thought he had destroyed it. With rededicating himself to robotic science at some time he had the technology needed to awake Sari... this also awoke Megatron though not to his interactive state.

I think this idea is a little to convoluted for an 8 yr old to appreciate so i'm thinking she just ain't Arcee.

Likely... If Arcee returns it is with a youthful mind set, Bumblebee learns about the spiders and the bird-dogs, and Ratchet can't forgive himself for erasing the old fembot's memory.
