I'm fairly certain that Springer only has 1 robot-mode.
Anyway, I vote Scourge, especially after rereading Target 2006.

I think he was referencing his triple changer status
G1 Scourge... Springer should have a pretty good chance considering UltraMagnus did deal with Galvatron once. Simply being a Unicron spawn doesn't make one unstoppable. Pecking order he's nothing compared to Cyclonus right.
The fiercest triplechanger and wreckers member can hold his own against any sweep. It is a shame there was only one sweep given a personality/color scheme. I'ld love to see it in a comic format though.

Yeah, I'm also going to have to say that Springer will win this one.

This is a pretty even match. bravo. I'd have to say springer in a robot-robot fight.

If Scourge shoots Springer's rotors, Springer can't fly anymore and his light saber is broken. He can still spring, though. [Why didn't he do any springing in the 1986 Movie?!] Scourge would attack from high altitude, above Springer's springing range. He'd use his disintegrator. If he couldn't hit Springer, he'd make big holes in the ground around him so that he couldn't drive so easily in car mode. Springer would try to bring him down with his 'cyclone gun' that makes powerful winds. Scourge would probably avoid those winds. In the end, Scourge would wear down Springer and then go in for the kill. He'd have to be careful because Springer is physically stronger. As an expert hunter, Scourge wouldn't risk himself until he was reasonably sure that Springer had been neutralised.
So, I'm giving this to a careful Scourge. Springer isn't a good enough flier to deal with the upgraded Decepticon. If Scourge gives in to his arrogance and flies too low too soon, Springer will literally leap on him and beat him mercilessly.
