With the San Diego Comic Convention event dates closing in on us fast, the official homepage for the event has announced its schedule of events for Friday, July 24th 2009.

Officially deemed "Star Wars Day", there will be alot more going on then just a catering to fans of Darth Vadar and Boba Fett. HASBRO will have alot of presence along with IDW Publishing during the "The Great Transformers/ G.I. Joe Crossover" Panel.

12:00-1:00 The Great Transformers/G.I. Joe Crossover— Giveaways and announcements pack this panel with more excitement than Snake Eyes versus Starscream! If you've ever enjoyed G.I. Joe or Transformers, then come on down and learn about all the cool new things going on with both—from comics to video games to cool movie prop memorabilia! Flint Dille (G.I. Joe, Transformers original cartoons), Robert Atkins (G.I. Joe artist), Mike Costa (G.I. Joe, Transformers writer), and others present a look at the road ahead for both franchises, courtesy of IDW. Plus G4 broadcasts what is going on even though its more about the comic books with them

What are they THINKING, putting this in room 32AB? That's one of the smallest ones in the whole con... Transformers/GIJoe has always been a pretty major thing for fans... and with 'giveaways' listed as the first word in the description, people will be swarming to this. :/

Though I'm guessing that the 'giveaways' will be free issues of comics that're 2 years old...
