Well, he only needs a bio-like skin. Everything underneath can be all mechanical.
The bio-skin can be some form of flexible and tough material. With Cybertronian technology, the seams and joints can close perfectly, so as to make the cut line disappear.

Unfortunately, I have failed to deliver on completeing the page this weekend. But, here's the progress so far.
The scanner bed I used was neither wide enough nor tall enough to capture the whole page, and I had no time to scan it twice. You gotta takes whatchya can gets! Hope you like the progress so far.

scan it as 2 pages then
use the option in photoshop to copy and then paste each image in a double sized page or scan both and will try and sort them out that way so that its classed as one rather then 2.
