thanks dude. You saved me an hour of searching on VHS only to find half of that equation. I'm pretty sure I have the rerun voiceover.

Quints should not be watching this program. Too biased.
I don't know what you're talking about. Just because I think G1 is the end-all and be-all of all things TF doesn't mean I'm skewed in my viewpoints, does it? I'm impartial. Really!

Ooooooohhhh, the disc labeling/digital labeling is all out of wack.
The episode guide doesn't present the viewing order either.

Ok, no viewing order, but how about air date. Is that on there. I'd like to watch them all in the order they were shown. I know with Rhino's release, they weren't in order. As I was watching earlier this past week, I just noticed that season 2 is not in sequential order. At least not completely.

I don't think it would be a good idea to watch them in the order they aired in. Cuz, when season 1 aired, "The Ultimate Doom" had aired before Skyfire's debut episode "Fire in the Sky".Prime Evil wrote:Counterpunch wrote:Ooooooohhhh, the disc labeling/digital labeling is all out of wack.

Rhino's order of going by production order was fine, even though there were still some errors in order that way (but some of these were corrected like with "Thief in the Night" --> "Starscream's Ghost" --> "Ghost in the Machine").
Even still, I don't think that there's ever been a truly correct order of the G1 episodes.

That's difficult to say, since nearly every episode of G1 is a standalone story that doesn't really affect any of the other episodes. Most of them could be watched in nearly any order. but there are some that must be watched before or after others.vectorA3 wrote:ok, when i get this set, what is the most accurate chronological listing of episodes?? However, one time I did come up with a list of what I think to be the most chronological order of G1 episodes that I could think of. Should I post it here for ya (cuz it be really long)?

I'm still a bit sketchy on season 3's order. I mean, both its production order and airing order had issues, but when Kid Rhino heavily reordered it, they did fix most of these problems, but also moved around ones that had no ordering problem. I just chose to go with Kid Rhino's ordering as a base since that's the order I first saw them in.
Though, I would like to know how Shout! arranged the season 3 episodes to compare the two.
As for season 1, the ones changed there are also a bit of a guess. I personally think it's better to watch "SOS Dinobots" and "War of the Dinobots" consecutively, since the latter takes place almost right after the former. "Fire in the Sky" and "Fire on the Mountain" are a similar case, but they don't seem to be quite as closely-knit as the Dinobot 2-parter. "FitS" should still be watched before "FotM" I was orginally considering placing the two Dinobot episodes in between the two "Fire" episodes. But there are those who'd rather watch the two "Fire" episodes together like a 2-parter. Either way, all four must be viewed before "The Ultimate Doom, Parts 1-3".

sorry sabr -forgot to ask about the season 3 list. I did ask about the wide release, and I believe the guy from Shout just said 4th quarter this year. Maybe even December. I think that's what he was hinting at. It's most likely for them to release at that time anyway. (xmas)

not close right now, will wait till the 4th quarter, even ask for it as xmas gift. I couldn't bring myself to dropping $150 on the set there, even with the Welker signed litho (which was really really cool). I spent about that much over all 5 days I went to the con on food, parking, toys (only got one SW toy), and misc. stuff. Hopin it'll be lower when it hits mass retail.

Re: Shout Factory G1 Complete Series Box Sets Arriving!
Hey guys, not sure if this is the right place for this........
anyways I put in an order for the G1 boxset online(was going to wait till it hit retail, but couldn't resist!) I then received an e-mail with an order confirmation number saying I would be billed when my order shipped, and that I would receive another e-mail when it was shipped.
It's been two days and I still have not gotten an e-mail. I was just wondering if it's normal for it to take this long to process an order?(I ordered through the Shout factory store) Perhaps I should e-mail them?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
EDIT: nevermind, just got the e-mail saying it was shipped!

I'm going the route of buying each season seperately because dropping $150 all at once seems not as hard on the checking account as $20 every other month.
But should I be concerned that they won't release anymore individual seasons now that the entire set is out?

I don't think you have anything to worry about, I'm pretty sure that Volume 1 of Season 2 is supposed to come out in September, so I would bet they keep releasing a new set every few months
