So, how many have home networks or PCs named Teletran 1?
The thought crossed my mind as I was logging onto my home network the other day that there are probably several (or a lot) of TF fans who've named their home networks Teletran (or Teletraan) 1. Anyone here like me and fall into that category? If not, are your home network names Transformers related?

I don't have a home network, but my computer 'name' (the windows ID thing) is teletran one.

I guess this question could apply to networks, personal PCs, or to home servers too.

I'm about to buy a new computer system tomorrow morning actually!
Wow, the time is finally upon me and I'm really excited as now I plan to write my book and it's sort of transformers related.
I'm going to get an imac
http://www.apple.com/imac/
Here are the specifications I'm going to get.
* 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
* 4GB 800MHz DDR2 SDRAM - 2x2GB
* NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS w/512MB GDDR3
* 1TB Serial ATA Drive= 1,000 GB hard drive.
* Apple Mighty Mouse
* Apple Keyboard (English) + User's Guide
* iWork '08 preinstalled
* Accessory kit
* AppleCare Protection Plan for iMac - Auto-enroll
* SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
* 24-inch glossy widescreen LCD
* AirPort Extreme
* Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
I can partition part of my hard drive off using a program called parallels and use windows applications XP etc and have all my files from my old computer on there and call it Teletran 1 and the rest of the hard drive called The matrix or maybe something else all together.

Y'know... it never occurred to me to call any of my computers Teletran 1. Maybe when I get a new PC---the one I have is old and most likely won't last for long---I'll name it Teletran 1. I'd name my laptop that, but unfortunately the thing froze up when I was shutting it down the last time I used it, and since I doubt anybody could fix it... it's totally out of the question.

Shamefully, no device in my network is named after anything in Transformers. Everything on my network is named after Egyptian gods except for my main PC and the network itself which are both called Hyades.

I did not bother really as the computer I'm on now is only half mine sort of, I consider this my old computer but my ancient computer had not been turned on in at least two years and had a hard drive of ten GBs!

my new computer will have one thousand GBs

I remember the days when terabyte hard drives were just a dream.
They make them even higher, much higher than that but that's for the serious hardcore gamers and especially website owners and server applications.

i remember a time when 486 computers with a clock speed of 33 mhz was "top of the line" and would set you back a couple of K. Oh yea, and 4 mb of ram and 200mb hardrive was considered uber state of the art.
times have changed! ive seen 16 bit machines, 32bit machines, and now 64 bits is here. awesome thing, technology.

I think it'd be insulting to call my piece o crap Teletraan! I'm about to erase the whole thing and start from scratch to see if that makes it pull its sox up.
