And if there are problems (3 red lights) I know how to fix it permanently. And if your 360 is overheating then you don't have it set up in an area with enough room around it. If it's overheating you either have it in too small of a space where no air can get out and circulate, or one of the vents is covered. Period. Now hardware errors are a different problem. And scratching the disc has been shown to be caused by people putting the disc in at a wierd angle. The disc must lay flat in the tray. If not the drive will catch only part of the disc, spin it, and scratch it on the tray.

As of right now the only error not caused by human stupidity is the 3 red light hardware error. That is Microsofts **** up. The clamps they use to hold the heatsinks onto the GPU and CPU warp from the heat. This causes the system to think there is a hardware error and it shuts down.

The reason Blu Ray is outselling HDDVD is actually quite simple. People have a PS3 and they figure they might as well use the drive. Otherwise the system loses almost all of it's value. I mean once you play the 3 games for it, you'll need something else to do with the giant hunk of metal and plastic. Since people aren't being forced to buy an HD DVD player with their 360, they aren't compelled to pick up the format. If the PS3 didn't have Blu Ray in it, both formats would be selling next to nothing because almost no one feels the need to upgrade to an unknown format when DVD works just fine. Will Blu Ray be the winning format? More than likely. But I'm still not switching to it until I can get a player for $80.

Yeah i heard about this. It makes me smile after all the crap Sony has done to its consumers lately. Ever since E3-'05 the PS3 has been nothing but a let down, and finally Sony's ego is feeling the pinch.

Maybe now they will come to their senses, and get rid of the blue ray which none of us need and drop the jacked up price for what is basically an inferior console to the 360. (and thats not just some fanboy comment, that is a fact based on tech specs)

*sigh* They can't drop the Blu Ray. All games to this day that have been released for the console are on BR discs. You can't just remove it after you've already invested in it as the format for your system.

Understandable, but lower the price at the very least!

agreed the only thing they can do is Invest in cheaper manufacturing and parts, maybe lets other Companies make PS3's a la a Magnavox, or Panasonic PS3, actully take the revenue from in game advertising to Lower price of the games. Or call it quits and come out with a new system in the next 2 years with all the current features only more competitively priced.
