Spock will win when he finishes Kirk off with the Vulcan nerve pinch and escape before the ring explodes.

I gotta agree with AG, Spock would consider it illogical for the Captain to die so he could live, since the crew needs a Captain.
Kirk would have a heartfelt moment with Spock, before kicking him in the nuts.
Plus, the whole Kirk seems to become unstoppable when his shirt gets ripped. Also, if one of the prizes aside from living is hot alien nookie, Kirk would definitely win.

And yet, here in the Fantasy Battle forums. Nothing is in continuity.
So, Kirk wins.

Spock easily wins, his Vulcan heritage gives him far greater strength exceptionally fast reflexes and far greater intelligence not to mention his Vulcan abilities to with stand far greater injuries and his nifty little nerve pinch ends Kirks with little problem. No Spock wouldn't kill Kirk just ends the match super quickly by using his superior speed and reflexes to apply the Vulcan nerve pinch to Kirk giving him more than enough time to quickly find away to diarm the time bomb and saves both their lives.

You lot are forgetting a crucial part of the ripped shirt:
It only works when it's a fist fight in the sand!
Seriously tho, I would say Kirk would protest that Spock gets out. Spock would do the logical thing and give Kirk a nerve pinch, then carry him out the ring before the explosion.
If they had to fight to the death, I would say Spock. After all, he was owning Kirk in that episode "Amok Time" I think it was.

In Amok Time, Spock had the advantage of the enviroment, the air was rather thin, plus McCoy gave him a jolt of a tranquilizer, if my memory serves me right.

True but Spock was also in a seriously weakened condition due to his state of ponfar. Besides if you look at the episode This side of Paradise Spock is infected with some sort of spores and the only way to snap Spock out of the spores influence is to physically strike Spock and Kirk admits that this is incredibly risky due to Spocks Vulcan strength which is several times stronger than a humans. The original Spock was killed by cigarettes.
William Shatner (the original Kirk) insisted that his co-stars shouldn't be much taller than him. Hence, the original Trek crew are all fairly short. This was because it would look silly if Kirk was surrounded by bigger, taller people. Also, Shatner was a bit insecure.
