Super Mode G1 Prime
Well, today I was looking at my collection of Primes in super mode, and was admiring at how much cooler the look as super robot than regular.
So then, I looked at my G1 Prime, sittin on the shelf, lookin all small and miserable there. So then I looked at my spare Ultra Magnus. *hint*
So, was thinking of customizing Magnus' trailer to G1 Prime colors (leaving the red the same, and repainting the blue into dark blue, and the white into black, and adding a mouthplate to his head.)
I tried to picture this in my head, but can't. Do you guys think it'd be cool?

not to be dicouraging, but when I think Ultramagnus (toy) was the G1 Prime super mode, it's hard for me to it mad into a more Prime looking figure without loosing something.
I've owned a Utramagnus, and a Powermaster Prime. Thinking on those two I could see a kit-bash for G1 Prime fitting into a Magnus "ultra armor" trailor but so his G1 Prime chest is the same. But if something goes wrong you're out of a perfectly good Magnus trailer
On a more possitive and supportive note. If you could get the blue parts to match and maybe turn the Magnus "Ultra helm" into something that resembles the Powermaster Prime's bigger head, you may be onto something. I'm not sure how th black would work but it should be a more primesque look than Utramagnus' white. Perhaps a little chrome to match Prime's thigh area.
sorry, spotted the... double thread
first...
This UltraPrime repaint of Magnus' Ultra-trailer isn't bad, but again the white arms and hands don't agree with me.
maybe the white arm parts could be grey, the hands blue, and the nose of that drone jet be white. (for mech abs)
Missile launcher and laser pistol could be black too.
sledge as in sledge hammer!
I loved that show!
I wouldn't want to drill a whole into a G1 Prime's head myself but I loved that show

I wouldn't use the Ultra Magnus head. I'd drill a hole in Prime and use the PM Prime supermode head.

For anyone who hasn't seen Spotlight: Sledge (and why not?!), my gritty and dark fanfiction piece "Holiday" is posted here.

Yeah, but it's a spare, and I would only be painting over the blue, them molding a faceplate around his supermode head with Apoxy Sculpt...

I have seen this somewhere before, I forget where, maybe the Tfmaster site. But i have seen this idea fleshed out into a real figure. The took G1 Prime, Ultra Mangnus's armor, recolored/resculpted it and made a G1 super prime.

Another thing you might want to look into doing is using his Powermaster trailer.
Suprisingly, the original G1 cab fits nicely.
My version
The trailer it's self would just need a little colour change and you should be able to modify the Powermaster head to slot into the screw hole under the original's head.

Not a sheeple.
Think for yourself, don't let the magic TV box and social media do the thinking for you.
Question EVERYTHING!!
Just because you have a youtube review channel doesn't make you special.
I look forward to attending a Botcon soon only to settle matters with several idiots in person (yes this is a threat).

Well, I started yesterday, molding a mouthplate around the head with apoxy sculpt (the greatest kitbashing modling clay EVER). It looks very 'Primey' now. The only thing is the two poles sticking out of his head would look a bit too long...who thinks they should com down in size?

You should however do what YOU feel looks best. After all, this is YOUR project for YOURSELF. Unless of course you're out for adoration and worshipping from others, in which case you've got no chance against Grimsqueaker.
