It took a while to figure out what I wanted. I eventually decided on tiny bit of motion blur (4 pixels), a lot of omni, a very small lens flare above Shadow, and radial blur (4-5 pixels).

Poor Sonic!
Sonic's spin attack from the first panel of Issue #41; what game is that sprite from? It reminds me more of his Triple Spin from the cartoons than any of his Advance sprites (though that could just be because the sprites are bigger here).

The sprite you're talking about is from Sonic Advance 3.
I really like what they did with that sprite. The lighter blue is his head, the darker blue is his torso and legs, the center white is his eye, the outer white is his glove, the center tan is his muzzle, the outer tan is his arm, and the red is his shoe. The managed to fit every part of his body into it. The original Advance jump sprites aren't as good, though. They're just blue with a small red streak.
