When someone does let me in on that action.
In the meantime, why does it matter what Knock Out's orientation is? Someone writing a fanfic?
Must be all this Rewind/Chromedome drama firing people up.
Anyway, for my two cents... Primus's children are not humans. They can stick their gearboxes in whoever's exhaust pipes they like. In the Aligned continuity, only one-thirteenth of the Cybertronian population is female, descended from Solus, the only female Prime. I'm surprised the Cybertronian equivalent of homosexuality doesn't pop up more often, given the options available.

Why does he have to be gay or straight? We don't even know how Cybertronian sexuality works, or if it even exists. Can't we just say he's effeminate and leave it at that? It's a kid's cartoon, for Christ's sake, we really don't need to be looking that deep into it.

Not to mention that not all gays act as stereotypically effeminate as Knock Out does.

So, essentially, we can't discuss interesting topics because it's a kid's cartoon, and therefore we should shut up and refrain from any delving into the mythos and philosophy of a part of a franchise all of us love?

Just watched the episode Thirst. I thought it was awesome until Blackarachnia/Airachnid was freed, killed Silas, took control of the insecticons, was given Cybertron by Soundwave, and then became a vampire. Then it turned into horseshit.

Also, that was one of Cybertron's moons she was sent to.

Because it sounds like you're saying things went downhill at the very end of the episode.

Are you kidding me? That was the best part of the episode. I've been waiting for her to be freed since late season two, and the "vampire" shift in status quo was icing on the cake.

Doesn't really matter since some do, and stereotypes are often used as an easy way to portray characters in fiction. Plus 95% of gay characters in fiction are campy stereotypes.
And I'm not even pressing on here believing he has to be gay, the whole thing with me and G1 Smokey here started because of his asinine comment about homosexuality. I just ran with it.
Remember how pissed off I was when everyone started stating he was gay because of Starscream's comment on his choice of alt-mode?
the idea of him being gay, just kinda grew on me, he's an awesome character and if he does turn out to be gay, well then the gay TF community has an awesome character to call their own.

Just...look at the last few pages. It's people going in-depth, far more in-depth than is completely necessary, to determine how and why a character is gay, despite the fact that we don't even know if that's possible with his species.
But yeah, that's basically what I'm saying. There's a point where it just gets ridiculous, and I like to think we passed that point.

This.
I've been watching the last few pages of discussion; this is what discussion topics are for. The majority of fan sites of any franchise contain far more detailed discussions than how an episode played out or how a character was introduced. There exist such threads with 10 pages about a fictional world's engineering or cuisine. While it's irrelevant to the focus of the cartoon, the sheer analytic factor is what drives the discussion and what makes coming to a cartoon's discussion board fun. A few pages discussing a character's traits are no different than a few pages discussing the latest episode, 'nor is it a bad thing like njb902 pointed out. Plus, if it being a kid's show is such a big deal, why do we come here and discuss it? Yes, there's a time when the topics go on too long and need to be cut short, but I didn't see any reason for this to be put to a halt. It wasn't hurting anyone.
Not like it matters anymore; the topic is dead.

I'm so glad i don't have to be a part of this topic. And since I see some of you would gladly change it.
Any chance that this time Starscream is gona be beaten up to death? It is kina strange that despite all hes epic failures,he still not only survive, but regain hes position even if he is punished sometimes.
I wonder is there any chance that Starscream from some reason is important. Maybe this is a question of destiny, it would be nice suprise ih one of the bad guys would be some kind of a chosen one. After all, we don't know about anything Megatron saw via Patch and did he don't feel something because Dark Energon in hes chest.

So, on "Synthesis"
The Autobots are going to rescue one of their own. I assume this is Ratchet, but what if it's Wheeljack? It'd be pretty cool if they were to infuse Wheeljack with both Dark and Synthetic energon like they did Cylas and turn him into PRiD Dead End. They don't have to call him by name, since Dead End technically already exists in this continuity (though as a DLC/chassis in the games' multiplayers), but it'd be one hell of a way to kill a character.

Oh god, that would be pointless, terrible, and f**king awesome all at once.

This is one thing I'm hoping we'll get in the next incarnation, generic Autobot troopers, it's about time the Decepticons got wiping-bots to rip into. Just think of how awesome it would be to see Megatron or Soundwave owning 10 guys at once.
