While it's the fanwanky answer to give, it's never really been disproven. The Predacons.
The Terrorcons may be beasts themselves (ferocity and fightin' wise, not their ....monster...alt modes...) but the PRedacons are fairly intelligent and becuase PRedaking is a successful gestalt, it means the individual preds function togther better than most. I think it's real hard to bet against the Predacons. In pretty much anything. I love the Terrorcons too, but this is probably not really too much of a contest.
Even in gestalt modes, Predaking trumps Abominus.

This fight goes either way depending on wether its combined or as separate robots.

Contrary to popular believe, as can be seen in the post above, The Terrercons are not stupid....and the Predacons arent all that bright.

According to the tech spec only Blot has a low intelligence score , the rest of the Terrercons are either smarter or a match in the brains department with any of the Predacons.

And only 1 of the Terrorcons is week, while the rest either outmatch or match the Predacons in strength.

The Terrorcons also match or outmatch the Predacons in endurance and firepower.

I'mma play fanboy and say Terrorcons. Abominus is friggen awesome looking.

but over all it could go either way. abominus as a whole has more endurance, but predaking is smarter (int of 5 vs abominus' int of 1).

The two teams are transported to a planet with an atmospheric disruptor which prevents any of them from transforming out of their beast modes. Seensing a fearsom battle Razor Claw rallies his team to his side. The Terrorcons begin attacking instantly. Razor Claw tries to deveop a strategy, however the intinsity of Hungrr's attacks, combined with the lack of time to prepare leave the Predacon leader stuned in his tracks. Without their leader to keep them orginized, and lacking their ability to combine into the awesome Predaking, the Terracons defeat the Predacons.

Winner: Terracons

I think Predaking could rip Abominus to shreds, to be honest. He's easily one of the best and most deadliest Gestalts that there is. Abominus appears to be only some sort of mindless killing machine, so I imagine Predaking wouldn't have too much difficulty in taking the Terrorcon Gestalt down.

The Terrorcons' best chance to win this fight, in my opinion, is as a team--or perhaps individually. Though the big question is: do the Predacons have enough strength and firepower to wither away the Terrorcons' superior endurance before inflicting the fatal blow? I say yes, because the Predacons function very well as a group and I think they'd be able to deliver a deadly and coordinated assault.

Group fight: Predacons

Even though the Terrorcons possess awesome strength, I think the predacons are a more cohesive unit, and even individually more skilled and have better firepower, and physical strength is even or debatable. Obviously, Hun-grr would be stronger than the Predacons except for Razorclaw. And Razorclaw is very fast. So in a group meelee the predacons (more likely Razorclaw) would be last standing.

Predaking vs. Abominus

Predaking IS the ultimate killing machine. Abominus might not be as stupid as most people think, but he is still a dumbass. Predaking, though suffering from gestalt-itis, is still smarter and has more firepower. If it came down to a physical hand to hand showdown, it's debatable who would win, but it probably wouldn't come to that, as Predaking would blast Abominus to pieces before the slow monster could catch up to him. Predaking wins.

Neither would win. In terms of power and ability they're far too evenly matched. It's to the point that the fight could literally go either way on far too many variables. I liken it to an elite commando unit (the Predacons) taking on an elite terrorist cell (Terrorcons). The Terrorcons are going to use dirty tricks, teamwork, co-ordination, and brute force. And that's exactly what the Preds would do. I honestly think if both teams fought and were trying to kill each other both sides would sustain too much damage and casualties. Both would probably withdrawl, but in that case it doesn't matter who withdrawls first. Even if one side definitively runs the other off and stands their ground it's still a Pyrrhic victory.

Predaking has greater skill but Abominus has greater endurance. P has more weapons and a forcefield. I'd have to give P the edge but if he fails to capitalise, A might wear him down.
