The un-aired Transformers G1
Why hasn't the the unaired G1 series ever been release in America with an English script? Why has Hasbro released it on the the Hub network since they are partial owners? I disliked the Japanese subbed versions the do not mesh well the other English G1 series. Their theme songs were so annoying and 1980's Japanese dialogue tends to be very redundant.

If you're referring to the Japanese series like The Headmasters, Super God Masterforce and Victory, those series were commisioned by Takara for the Japanese market, thus the series have somewhat different animation, plus they follow certain Japanese conventions, most evident in Victory. Hasbro had no hand in that, as they decided to cancel the US series after failing ratings.
If they were to be released for US syndication, which I find highly unlikely, the adaptation would take a lot of work, only to fail miserably.

Dubbing a series costs serious coin, especially for a company Shout! who has no facilities and would have to outsource it. It's even worse with the economy in the dumper, to the point where even the big anime importers like Bandai are doing sub only releases just to make a profit.
Personally, I'm loving The Headmasters just as it is; then again, I've been a big anime fan for a while.

All of the japanese G1 series would need a complete re-cut to be even near the level of watchable by western fans (I TRIED to watch each of them... I failed due to them being boooooring compared to the first four seasons). I think it's just cheaper to make a new show, than "westernizing" them.

To be fair, the Headmasters is a boring series for the most part. It does have highlight beyond the usual ones though (You know, Ultra Magnus, Sixshot, New Soundwave and so on...). Characters like Chromedome, Scorponok and Fortress are worth watching the series for. But please watch the orginals, the dubs are hilarious, but ultimately unwatchable.
Masterforce and Victory are very good, actually.

Yeah. Your basically asking for them to dub an old Japanese Cartoon thats over 20 years old back into english and hire new actors and producers and writers and make it ready for a new American release????? Sorry but I dont see Hasbro wanting to do that any decade soon. If its not on the current band wagon such as the movies or a new TV series then I dont see why they would want to try to make money off OLD material? The way I see it is that the Japanese Headmasters is a separate entity in its own.
