The voices of IDW

A little while back, a fellow Seibertronian brought up the subject of what the IDW-verse sounded like, and recently, thanks to being laid up in bed with MTMTE comics and a summer cold, I wanted to see what people thought the characters in the comics sounded like. Now, I know that the G1 voice actors still hold a lot of nostalgia and instant connection to those characters, but I'd like to try to avoid the people who have already voiced TFs, obviously there are some exceptions to this, like Frank Welker using his Prime Megatron voice for the IDW Megatron (I love his G1 voice, but it doesn't have the depth that his later incarnation had).

So, who should voice who in the IDW-Verse? Don't be limited to voice-only actors either, I mean, I picture Benedict Cumberbatch as Shockwave's voice actor, so go wild with your suggestions!

I'm not going to go thru each and every character, but these are the ones I've mentally assigned specific VAs instead of just using variations of my internal reading voice.
Brainstorm = Christopher Lloyd
Pharma = Vincent Price
Cyclonus = Christopher Lee
Swerve = Greg Cipes (i.e. Beast Boy or Michelangelo)
Shockwave = Alan Rickman
Tarn = Keith David (Alex Milne's suggestion, danged if I didn't take it)
Overlord = David Kaye (ironic, yesssss)

Less original:
Megatron = Animated Voice
Ratchet = Animated Voice
Ravage = Beast Wars Voice

I'm on board with most of those, especially Ratchet (Animated Ratchet is currently on my Lost Light shelf). I'm not sold on Swerve; I just expect a little deeper voice out of him given his squatness.

I was never a fan of Ravage's Russian accent in Beast Wars. I hear him using Frank Welker's voice in the style of his sole line of dialogue in the G1 cartoon.

Frank Welker's TF:Prime voice is how I hear Megatron in my head. It goes well with Megatron's own admitted weatheredness.

I vacillate between hearing Shockwave using Corey Burton and David Sobolov's voices. Likewise, Starscream will, at various times, sound like Chris Latta, Tom Kenny, and Steve Blum in my head.

To be honest, I always imagined Robert David Hall as Ratchet's voice, I love him on CSI and I think the characters are actually kind of similar, both have seen their fair share of horror but continuously soldier on through it.

And even though I know he's voiced Superman a time or two (okay, try a lot), but I always kind of pictured Mark Harmon as Optimus Prime.

He would be my second choice.

As much as I respect Milne's decision, I always imagined Keven Spacy. Then again, I've never heard this actor speak, but I'm going with the softly, softly voice and the latent psychosis Spacy can project so well.
