Where would Shattered Glass Sideswipe go on this list?

Re: Top 5 Transformers Who Abandoned Their Faction
I didn't feel that Rhinox's heel turn was that far off. I remember when Megatron reprogrammed him that one time; it felt along those same lines. That he could have a dark side to him.
To me, it made sense that the quiet thinker could come to the very dark conclusion that Megatron's sort of order actually could bring peace and stability. After all, Cybertron's organic nature was new to Rhinox. What worked for prehistoric Earth may not, in his opinion, work for the technological world of Cybertron.
Of course I don't think it's better than any of the ones on the list, though. It was just a heel turn I did wind up liking at the time.

He was under Bombshell's mind control. That doesn't count as switching factions willingly.

Doesn't matter, it doesn't have to be willing. Mind control is specifically listed as counting for this list, here is what we read at the top of the article:
For this reason, we have many different characters that have left their respective faction, whether it be from anger, sadness, betrayal, confusion, and occasionally mind control.

Well... I'd disagree with Mind Control being on the list, unless as a catalyst (ie an Autobot gets mind-controlled into being a Decepticon, but once freed decides to be a Decepticon based on their time as one). If it's just straight-up being mind controlled into a different faction and then going straight back to their original one after that's over and done with, that's just not interesting. It's just them being mind-controlled; what's there to take from that? To say about that?
Not to say that mind control isn't an interesting thing for a story to have, but when we have the context of a character betraying their faction, I just don't think mind control should be considered unless it's a catalyst rather than the straight-up reason. And I don't actually think we've ever had an example of that in Transformers fiction.

I like the theory that rhinox went like that becuse ratrap awoke the rhinox personality without shutting down the tankor shell program first. So like the new predacons in bw, he was acting of his own free will but was corrupted into the evil ways. And as we saw in that bw episode where he was reprogrammed, that's how predacon rhinox acts. The maximals just didn't realise this so never turned him good.
And why silverbolt didn't suffer the same? Because he was reformatted and that process purged the jetstorm shell program. That's how i view the series.

The theory is kinda sound, but I remember a scene where Silverbolt said he was actively aware of what Jetstorm was doing and liked aspects of it. So he felt ashamed of himself and dropped the corny white knight attitude until the final episode.
Granted I haven't seen Beast Machines since it's air date, so I may be full of it.

Your 100% right. He was aware of what he was doing and remembers enjoying it. It was pretty deep for a kids series and this was my favourite aspect of it.

Re: Top 5 Transformers Who Abandoned Their Faction
Yes. Silverbolt was aware because jetstorm was operating with his own free will. Like tankor and rhinox, aware of what they are doing and doing it willingly but with a shell program corrupting their spark. If silverbolt was woken up without the reformatting at the same time, he would probably act completely bonkers.
And yes, earlier he got goop on him and went full silverbolt. But that was because the goop infiltrated his systems and disabled the shell program until it dried up and the program took hold. And lets not forget he has a dark side to him as well. Remember when he thought black arachnia was dead? He hunted down tarantulas, beat the scrap out of him and was about to skewer him on an upturned spike before he was stopped.
