I wasn't sure where to put this.

Does anyone have children that are fans of Transformers? Do your children enjoy anything from G1? What do they think about the old G1 toys in comparison to today's? If they are fans, did you get them any goodies for the holidays?

My son has been getting more obsessed with Transformers over the last year, and it has resparked my interest as well. He seems to enjoy the old G1 shows and Beast Wars over anything else (he detests Animated, both the show and toys). It's been kind of fun, but sometimes it's hard to have him understand why some of the old toys look so awkward to him (like Megatron or Galvatron).

Happy Holidays. I shall enjoy tomorrow by seeing my son's reaction to Unicron. I told him Toys R Us sold out months ago, har har.

My son enjoys Transformers somewhat. The only thing that hurts is the effort to transform them, which he doesn't have the knack for. I'm not mad or anything, but I want him to be happy. At 10, he sees my obseesion, and delight when I get new toys and play with them, so he tries to follow in my footsteps. However, I know he really likes Power Rangers, mainly the zords, and wrestling fiures. As long as he plays with what he likes, I do not mind.

At his age, he will find the toys he likes to play with the most, and he will grow.

My son is only 17mos old... But he was playing with the Bumblebee (Animated) my wife got for xmas... Might be mostly because it makes noise?

I have a 15yr old Daughter who has grown up with Transformers. We used to watch Transformers when it was on Saturdays at 8 on Cartoon Network. Since I own most of the cartoons on DVD, she's seen all of them. She is a big G1 and Beast Wars fan. (Like her Father), and knows the names and back stories of most of the characters. She has her own collection of Transformers with beast modes, loves the Dinobots. It's a tradition in our home that she gets a Transformer or 2 from me each year for Christmas. This year it was ROTF Ravage and Target's Leo Prime.
