Transformers Animated for DS

Anyone picked it up yet. I would love to hear that this is a great game, but more than likely it will be disappointing. I find it a little strange that there wasn't more publicity surrounding it.

Its not bad, not fantastic but will keep you entertained for a good few hours.

The voices are all the actors, the snimation is far more fluid than I expected.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was. You know how the console movie games were given some bad reviews? The PSP version was worse. Yes, it had more playable characters, as long as you could find someone to do multiplayer with. (You could not)

I've been curious to know if this game is any good as well...I'm not all that in to Animated, but there isn't much to choose from in terms of TF videogames...

Yeah the PSP vesion was the worst PSP game ive ever played. And i still like to know why both the DS and PSP version didnt have internet play only local/adhoc. So back on topic how is this game? Looking for a new handheld game and i might get this.

I managed to pick it up last night... so to speak..

..using an R4DS card and finding the ROM on rapidshare,..

Its pretty good fun, as Neurie mentioned, all the voices are straight from the show as are some of the animated sequences.

Graphics and controls are pretty smooth to.

Playing kinda reminds me of Exit DS.. in that you have to get from A - B using certain skills and avoiding/disabling obstacles along the way.

In the TFA game your skills are split between Optimus, Bulkhead and Bumblebee. (Weather or not Prowl is playable outside of the driving sections I'm not sure, Im not that far through it yet to be honest.)

Optimus has a homing attack with his axe and can grapple steel truss' with his grappling line.

Bumblebee can jump, skid down walls, do a wall jump (much like Samus in Metroid games, only easier) and power generators with his stingers.

Bulkhead can push large objects, be used to activate pressure pads, fire his wrecking ball in a straight line anywhere on screen and knock down thick doors.

When Ive played alot more of it I may write a review :)

Im 38% of my way through it (the load screen shows your percentage complete) and I only started playing it yesterday.. so as soon as I've finished it I'll get a review written up. Keep an eye out in the video games forum over the next couple of days :)

Will do! Most of the response I seen to the game is positive but since I'm not a huge Animated fan I'm a bit wary...Been wanting a decent objective review to get an idea of what it's like and how good it is...

Can't wait!

My DS is boring me to tears right now. I'm sick of all my games. I need some new ones but not finding much interesting. Can't wait to see your review zero-kaiser! I'd like to know if this one's worth picking up.
