I was wondering how different the PSP version will be to the console versions? I know the PSP gets 20 playable characters (as opposed to 9 in the consoles), and also some sort of ad-hoc multiplayer, but is it essentially the same game (just expanded a bit) or a totally new game?
I sorta need to know since, not having any new console, if I want the real game, I'll have to buy the PSP version. And if it's worse for some reason, I could look into the DS version (which I KNOW is totally different). It just seems odd that they'd pack 11 more characters and some other add-ons into a handheld and withhold it from the consoles...it seems like I'm missing something.

Other than the gameplay from the XBox 360 and the PS3, they haven't shown any real gameplay from any of the other consoles other than screenshots for the Wii and the DS in Nintendo Power.
I do like how you can customize your character completely in the DS version, but I hate having to buy two different versions to have the whole game. It'd be different if my wife was interested in it and we split it like we do Pokemon, but that probably won't be the case.
No clue on how they're translating the game over to the PS2 and the PSP other than the PSP getting more playable characters. I'm guessing that the playable chracters will be the drone types that you fight in each level, but I could be wrong.
Personally I'll end up with the PS2 and PSP versions at the start probably and maybe pickup the DS version later (have to fight my wife for the DS right now as she just got Pokemon Diamond).
