No he doesn't, he's a nobody. Always has been. Even in the one cartoon series that used him frequently for fighting Predaking was he a near-total cipher.

Landcross got more character focus in Victory, even if said focus just boiled down to "rookie Combiner".

Indeed. Some most of the prices for the Japanese exclusive series bots are insane. To be honest, very few G1 combiners still hold up visually.

G1 Defensor and Abobinus still look amazing even today. Superior, Bruticus, and Computron too. Devastator remain great looking despite being a fragile combiner.

However, Menasor look pretty daff with its overlarge torso.
Those are the only ones that come to mind for now.

Piranacon always comes to mind as one that still looks really good. Menasor, the opposite. Mostly I find the latter combiners are the weaker designs long term, like Monstructor or the other Takara exclusive ones. Others I think look bad in comparison to their later interpretations. In that respect, Devastator is one I would class as one of the bad ones. But different strokes for different folks.

I got a decent deal on MP-27, so I bought him. Finally arrived in the mail today, and man, I wasn’t sure if like him that much, he didn’t necessarily “wow” me through pics online. But he’s got a surprisingly fun transformation, and such presence on the display. Glad I got this guy.

So, Ironhide, eh? I always found his "bouncy" butt made out of a pair of truck wheels to be a hilarious and genius design choice.
For reasons I'd rather get Ratchet, but I hate the fact that he's 50% more expensive than Ironhide. Was MP Ratchet an exclusive of some kind?

I've mentioned it here and there but the Ironhide/Ratchet Masterpiece figures are everything I want in a non-leader Masterpiece. I accept a Prime or a Megatron (or even a Galvatron or Rodimus) being a bit more intricate and expensive. But for a mainline MP figure, this is my standard. It's got heft, it's got an entertaining transformation, it's sturdy and I don't feel like I'm going to break it, alt mode and robot mode hit enough cartoon accuracy for me. They're great.

When I got Wheeljack just a few weeks after Ironhide, I was disappointed. Sure, he looked great, but he's smaller, all plastic, and just kinda....eh in comparison. I did go back and mess around with him recently and appreciated him a lot more but still not as pleasing as Ironhide.

FYI, if any of y’all got the Toyhax Labels for MP-44, the license plates work very nicely on the other MP cars. Especially MP-27 here, who’s prominent license plate area is definitely a little plain out of the box. I liked the Japanese-style plate since Ironhide’s alt-mode is very obviously Japanese. Maybe that’s racist of me, I hope not, but whatever.

Thanks to Seibertronian -WonkoTheSane- we have been alerted to a new image on Takara Tomy's Twitter account, showing off the packaging for MP-49 Black Convoy, for the first time! This recolor of MP-44 is sans trailer, and differently from his usual red axe accessory, includes a translucent teal energon axe instead (though that isn't shown in the image below), as well as teak blast effect pieces.

Do you have this incoming figure on your preorder list? He's due out in Japan this Saturday, so he should start showing up at U.S. importers the first few weeks of August.

Greetings Seibertronians! Fellow Seibertron user, -Kanrabat-, has let us know that YouTube toy reviewer, PrimeVsPrime, has done a brand new review of the next Masterpiece to be released, MP-49 Black Convoy!

This is a redeco of the previously released MP-44 Optimus Prime figure, that was G1 Sunbow accurate. MP-49 doesn't come with the trailer the previous release had.

The knee issues have been fixed for this release.
I bet there will be a revised version of MP-44 sooner or later.

Regardless, I'm quite tempted by this Nemesis.
BUUUUUUT, the thing will still be 250/300$CAN shipped. So, nope.

wasn't aware of knee issues - didn't pony up for mp44. The number of extras with these things might be nice for some... however I would prefer to have the basic figure with a limited number of accessories for a reduced price. This guy is still too pricey, maybe they might release the standard prime again in the same manner as this. Or will save up 1k for the next mp prime.

He might be referring to a tabbing issue when you change it from truck to robot. On mine, one of the knees was extremely difficult to tab. So much so that I was afraid I'd break it. The funny thing is, the figure is much more durable than you'd think despite the fidgity transformation. It did eventually peg in, but I can see where they'd want to adjust it.

So guys, I a planning on getting mp-45 Bumblebee, but will I regret buying him? I like how he looks and dont really mind the backpack. I have also planned to get mp-21, but my friend had his arm joint snap off, so I am slightly worried about that. Is there any problems with mp-45 I should know before I get him?

I don't have MP-45, but I do have MP-21. I don't know how your buddy broke his arm, but it's not exactly delicate. I'd wager MP-45 is just as sturdy.

But, like I said, I have heard bad reviews, and while I get the backpack may be bad, I don't really mind it. But, at the same time, I really wanna get mp-21
