I think it would work best if there were Allegiances, Like

Classes should not exist, only skills that people put effort into and descriptions. No having to pick Ranger or Warrior or Scout or anything. A Bot wants to be a Spy, he takes lighter armor which would increase his speed and agility but cost him his protection, he could also get a stealth gen built in, a cloaking device and/or a hacking device so he could break in various places and there would be weapons like EMP devices you could use to put another player or NPC into Stasis with. A Con decides he wants to be a heavy gunner, he takes heavy armor and get a shoulder cannon, a rocket launcher and a gattling gun and maybe an atl mode of a cybertronian tank.
The Autbot Spy runs into this Decepticon Heavy, who do you think will win? If you say heavy, why do you think so? Just because the heavy has more guns and armor doesn't mean he'll be able to defeat the Spy, he may not even be able to HIT the Spy. The Spy could be a triple changer with a jet alt mode and a race car alt mode and would be able to flee if need be, he could also turn invisible and put the big guy into stasis from behind. The factor that counts most however is how each player would assess the situation, would they shoot at each other openly? Would they take cover and try to launch a counterattack? It's up to the player and this game not following the normal lock on and click spells way most MMOs have would mean it would up to how each person played and reacted to different situations. I think a game of this caliber would bring in so many people, young and old, into the TF world.
