Am I the only one who noticed it? Raf was able to see just fine after the Infection, No Glasses needed.
Would love to see were this goes.

Probably just an animation error. Most films do that "first-person eyes open to clear vision" view for dramatic effect, so they probably just momentarily forgot about his impaired vision.BeastProwl wrote:Am I the only one who noticed it? Wow. Prime is fighting its way into my favorite slot...a tie between it and Animated.
That fight was epic. Unicron is most likely the villain...or one of his heralds.
Saber, has any TF cartoon put a human in life threatening danger before? No, not comics. Because I was surprised they did that. And unlike if it was...Kicker...i actually cared about Raf...huh. Great episode, greater series...

Sabrblade, don't take this the wrong way, but I have no intention in starting an argument, and I respect your views on the matter. Fact of the matter is, I don't consider myself such a fan of TF to the point where I read every comic or remember what happened in every single episode of G1, BW, BM, TFA or even the current TFP episodes. I'm just a casual collector at best.
But I digress.
As I haven't read the comics and don't recall these episodes of G1 you mentioned, I can't say how they were handled. But as long as they used appropriately sophisticated technology, covert tactics and strategies [targeting weak points like in DOTM] to bring down the TF's in a believable manner, then I have absolutely no problem with it. In other words, using their intelligence instead of throwing their biggest bombs into the AO like in a Godzilla movie.
What I meant by "head on" is a small group of humans shooting it out with TF's using "good ole" assault rifles, grenade launchers and artillery, and somehow taking down an army of battle-hardened TF's.
To make matters doubly clear, I'm not against the idea of human defeating TF's per se...as long as it's done in a believable way. It was nicely done in DOTM, and I acknowledged it, as you yourself quoted it. And if it was done nicely in G1 and in the comics, then I'm fine with that too. I just didn't like the whole "bombing raid, high-heat sabot round, tiny bunch of tanks and jets" idea in the movies, but tried to avoid making it too obvious in my posts lest I start offending Bayverse fans.
Bay rectified the problem in DOTM, and that's the end of the matter AFAIC.

Erm, let's see... G1 Spike was critically wounded and sent to the ER in the G1 episode "Autobot Spike".JetOptimus23 wrote:Saber, has any TF cartoon put a human in life threatening danger before? Animated season 3 had Sari nearly kill herself after she went berserk in parts 2 and 3 of "TransWarped". She was instead rendered comatose till the end of the third part.
...and that's all I can think of for now. I may need to sleep on it and don't feel like checking the TFWiki right now.

Some/most of them were like that. Though, some were just using the old "go attack them and try to kill them" method, and somehow ended up the victor.SKYWARPED_128 wrote:As I haven't read the comics and don't recall these episodes of G1 you mentioned, I can't say how they were handled. I wouldn't exactly say that these example quite match that criteria, so we're safe.SKYWARPED_128 wrote:What I meant by "head on" is a small group of humans shooting it out with TF's using "good ole" assault rifles, grenade launchers and artillery, and somehow taking down an army of battle-hardened TF's.

Though, in the case of the Joes killing Bumblebee with mere tanks and such, let's be fair, it was just little ol' Bumblebee.

Just out of curiosity, what do you think of super-powered humans taking them down?SKYWARPED_128 wrote:To make matters doubly clear, I'm not against the idea of human defeating TF's per se...as long as it's done in a believable way. Heheh, that's true. G1 Bee isn't exactly the super-slick one-bot-army he is in the Movieverse.

I'm perfectly okay with that. It just has to make sense and be within the realm of logic. For instance, having Wolverine slicing 'Con limbs with his adamantium claws is perfectly acceptable, as the metal is supposed to be of extra-terrestrial origin [I'm going with the movie continuity here--dunno if it's the same in the comics], and is supposedly the toughest metal known to man.
Frankly, I'm not all that hard to please as a viewer. Just a little bit of explanation and creativity is all I ask. I mean, even the director of Ironman 2 admitted that whole "discovering a new element" thing was a load of horse-crap, but it was fine with me, because it made sense in the context of the movie's universe. As long as I can suspend my disbelief and wrap my mind around it, I'm a happy camper.

Well spotted, sir.
I thought this was a brilliant episode, but then I'm a sucker for episodes that focus on the meta-plot instead of Jack looking to get laid or whatever. I really hope Earth isn't actually Unicron. If it is then we're not going to see him in his full glory. I doubt they're going to have our world turn into a giant evil mechanical deity. Hopefully it's just his head or spark that's buried under the volcano or the like.
Worst part of the episode??? Rolling out the old "one shall stand..." line again. It's been abused to buggery for a few years now and I'm thoroughly sick of it.

While it is a little better to hear just the second half of that overused line, it's still overused!

THIS
Also, wouldn't it make MORE Sense if this one was called "One shall stand" and the NEXT one was Called "One shall Fall"?
Just some food for thought. I think they need new lines...though in the fifth episode, or fouth, can't remember exactly wich, when Ratchet Say, "Than by all means Optimus, Light our Darkest Hour", Gave me chills, for two reasons.
1. It was used APPROPRIATELY, not just because its a famous line
2. It sounded like he was heralding something that happended in an older time...

Depends on what goes on in the next episode. Like ,if someone actually DOES fall, then it would fit better. Still, going that route would just make this line even MORE overused.BeastProwl wrote:Also, wouldn't it make MORE Sense if this one was called "One shall stand" and the NEXT one was Called "One shall Fall"?

EXACTLY! Ratchet's use of that line in that context was perfect! It wasn't forced, it wasn't one that has been run into the ground, and it wasn't used in the same way as it was originally. It was a unique and creative take of a classic line that flowed smoothly and wasn't shoved down our throats.BeastProwl wrote:Just some food for thought. "One shall stand, one shall fall" needs to take a break. If it can be retired, great. Let it have an honorable end. But it needs to make room for more creativity. Why, I'd even not mind if they changed it to the Japanese version of that line ("Either I die or you die") instead.

I have a suspicious feeling that 24 and 25 will both be cliffhangers to lead up to the conclusion in 26. Or even 26 might end on a (milder) cliffhanger to better kick off the events of season 2's first episode, 27.LadyBug wrote:BeastProwl wrote:I'm getting all Giddy, Episode 24 is so close, I can taste it!

Yeah, I have a feeling too.... they seem to be turning Prime into an anime series because of all these cliffhangers suddenly.

Yeah, I have a feeling too.... they seem to be turning Prime into an anime series because of all these cliffhangers suddenly.
The Headmasters, Masterforce, Victory, Zone, Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, RiD, Armada, Energon, and Cybertron were all anime, and yet they didn't have that many cliffhangers (can't say much for BWII and Neo, since I haven't much of them yet).
Plus, unless Hasbro Studios suddenly stops making Prime and gives the reigns to someone like Toei or TMS, they cannot just "turn" Prime into an anime.

canada may not be ahead of america anymore...
today was supposed to be a new episode, the teletoon commercial even said as much but they ended up airing a rerun. i'm wondering if they're purposely gonna wait and try and even the schedual out with america so we're more in synch. it sucks if thats the case since the last was "to be continued" but yeah, how annoying. lol

I like how they are borrowing from other series such as Beast Wars Nemesis prt. 1 & 2 reciting the covenenant.
What I am curious the most about is what is Megatron trying to do and what does he mean it was hear all along.
If it is Unicron how can Unicron be hidden on the Earth, Unicron is the size of a planet.
When I look closer at the picture of the Glowing Purple Eyes it is hard to tell if is Galvatron or Unicron himself.
That would mean or could mean that if it is Galvatron then Galvatron would be a seperated being not an upgraded Megatron not unless he somehow upgrades later.
From what I am getting Megatron has been seeing the future somehow.
I hate that this Optimus Prime can not fight good like with previous Primes could the most hardcore of all the Primes is ROTF Movie-verse Prime.
I hope sense they mentioned certain characters they will be in Prime later on such as Perceptor and The Fallen were both mentioned.
Cant wait for Season 2 this November.
