RE: Front page.

I don't tend to look at it as it is very slow to be updated and so isn't a fast news source. beside the inability to comment on it and the patchy way it's linked to threads means it's just easier to skip it.

'No offence' intended to anyone spending time on editing it - but to me there is nothing there worth looking at - No need to look at galleries when I prefer videos and they are so hard to navigate anyway. since that seems the main focus of the page I simply have no reason to look except very infrequently and when I do look it's usually barely changed so sort of reinforcing the point that there is often nothing new to look at.

Besides lets be honest if you want up to date Transformers news you'd use Twitter or TFW2005 that is where a lot of the stuff on this place or Allspark comes from anyway.

Again no offence intended, and to make up for it I will say I prefer Seibertron's Show & Event coverage to TFW's and have always looked at that even before I had an posting account.

"Shrugs" well I'd not seen the Soundwave image before - Maybe I was busy the day it came out.

Is it someone's job to just take a promo image, cut it up, and show bits to the nerds to drive them mad? Because i'd like to apply.

But the way the scrolling works the images don't always show in a place you see them as they are above or below the typing box.

Look like the grey image is similar to the blue fuzzy mess from the other day - so with both you get some of the detail and the colour at the same time.

Perhaps someone can make the colour one a transparency layer and over lay it on the grey scale image ?

As for the Soundwave photo, based on the detail of the hinges and such, I'd say it's in-hand, possibly a prototype, like the blaster images were

I understand and I thank you for the thought - I wasn't trying to sound aggressive - I was just trying to point out that I wasn't completely mad and posting a repeated image of Alpha Trion for no reason is all and I was mainly mention it just to commment on the return of the Jigsaw Puzzle game again.

As well as to show Soundwave (possibly the first picture of a plastic version) rather than a CGI render.

They are getting pretty good at those CGI renders now - the way they did the glass on the cassette deck is really convincing. it's only things like the screws that give it away.

I'm still not 100% sure the base mode and the top robot image even are CGI I can't see anything to tell either way - I'm guess they are as the head is for sure.

But out of that context I'm unsure.. I'm guessing CGI but that is just a guess.

Opinions ?

Are these images here real objects or CGI ?

How so? He is shown as being a dragon/griffin centaur thing, what does he look like now that he resembles this

I know you don't read the current comics so here's a real quick thing: Nexus and Onyx Prime were allies, and Nexus used his enigma of combination to create the original headmasters using Onyx's troops. I'm wondering if they could work in this version of Onyx into TR considering that storyline

Onyx Prime isn't a lion, though. He's like a bird... dragon... horse... thing.

It's a griffin-centaur hybrid, he's rearing onto his hind legs, the front ones are in the air

Those are likely renders using the 3d model used for designing him, likely given a skeleton and posed, then the take a high res render of it; it's likely that all photo's are thus created, and some are photo-shopped where needed (botcon, super early releases/teases).

I dunno, that'd probably he a little difficult to finagle, and I don't know if hasbro would think enough people would buy it to green-light it.

Ya know, having seen that sword, he is SO Thundertron - which is awesome

3 redecoes that I really hope happen from this Trion: Leobreaker, Victory Leo, Thundertron. allthough I could also see a really snazzy Lioconvoy happening here too.

That's a little out there, even for hasbro. Maybe if they had acknowledged the other lines before now, it might happen, but I think they'll stick with the more logical redeco's

I recently picked up the Prime Thundertron and there's no mistaking that sword blade. I kinda hope it's not the scurvy dog himself though, since I like the Prime version well enough already. Maybe it's just a reuse of a really awesome weapon mold part that not many have had a chance to acquire. The mech tech thing was a bummer but the blade itself is really rad. Guessing they repurposed it with a proper handle.

And you can see animal legs on his legs and waist. So it's most likely that he has a beast mode. But that head on his shoulder could also be a wolf head I think.

Well the rumours were that he'd be a lion, spaceship and a robot (fitting in with the whole all voyagers being triple changers thing).

But I am liking what I see.

Funny thought: by putting beast modes on some of the toys, that is hasbro honouring beast wars ...I'll leave now...

I wonder what Takara will do with him since they already made an Alpha Trion.
