I'm trying to plan ahead with some customs. I've got some ideas but awaiting money and characters, and would like some opinions.

First off, with the movie figures out now, would Blackout work as a Coastgaurd helicopter. I'm trying to plan out an Alt Defensor.
I worked out a plan for a 20th annv Prime as Hotspot, alt Grimlock or Wheeljack as Streetwise, Rollbar as Groove, and alt Prime modified to be an ambulance for First aid.

why not go for Cybertron Evac as Blades? He's already a rescue helicopter and his robot mode is in scale with the Alts. and he doesn't have the 'insecty' details of the movie figs.

My only concern with evac is that he doesn't look as realistic as the alts.

I think, with a head swap Blackout will be a perfect Vortex, I was wondering if he could be modded enough to be a good Blades. I don't know if a pave low would make a good rescue copter. Also, I've considered kitbashing a helicopter model but not sure if I can find what I'll need nor what scale.


On that note, I also plan on doing a Rodimus and a Hotrod. I have the alt Prime to work with. I'm planning on modding the shoulders so that the lights and bumper drop over the chest and the doors fold behind him. I want to use that metallic burnt orange color I've seen on real trucks, but I'm not sure where to get it, if its available in acryllic, or what to do if its not.

Hotrod will be a reshell with a dodge charger as an homage to the change from a car to a similar styled truck. I'm considering using my Prowl for the base. Any ideas?

Rollbar is going to be really small. I would suggest either throw scale out the window, or go for a new design. Maybe one that doesn't use a motorcycle, or that uses it for the head and the other 4 members contribute to the chest. Maybe add a 6th member, or use two cars or two trucks.
