What do YOU want as a Botcon exclusive?

I thought I read somewhere that they were using the Classics molds and it'd be set in the Armada/Energon/Cybertron continuity.
Personally, I hope its true. I'm a UK based G1 collector, so getting to BotCon just aint gonna happen for me. I hated seeing the Descent Into Evil figures being so rare, becuase unless I strike it rich unexpectedly, I'll never own them.
I've shelled out for quite a few E-Hobby exclusives, but compared to BotCon exclusives, they are pocket money toys!

back story: Cobra commander has the unconcious Decepticons in his fortress in a southern deserted Mayan temple. there with his cult like followers he devises a plan to get the locals to believe that he is a God and controls fantastic Beast warriors. His latest creation is the Megatron-Cobra. it is a testament to his arsenal and a useful weapon to strike fear in the heart of his enemies and rally his troops to action.
With Doctor MindBender at his aide, cobra commander successfully converts megatron to that of a Giant Cobra, set to lead his corp of Beastly Decepticons on a rampage to conquer south America and use fear to control the governments and launch an all out assault to conquer the world.
Megatron-Cobra has a different plan all togather, while leading his decepticon brotheren to war, he plans to utilize the resources of the South Americans to gather the energon he needs to conquer the Universe as well as betray Cobra Commander and take control of his terrorist network to infiltrate all the computers around the world.
Its a work in progress but here's a look at what i was thinking would be cool.
GIjoe VS Transformers (Beast Wars)
This is a photoshopped version that would be easy to produce, you just use Cohrada, then replace his head with that of the Transformers movie Wreckage for the Megatron look, and repaint him in Dark Blue colors, with a Shinny Silver Decepticon/Cobra symbol on the head.. it would look awesome..
Ofcourse the story and Name would need work, but it would makea cool Botcon Megatron, and could set up a series for Botcon's to come.
Heres a look:
I like your idea!

With the popularity of the Devil's Due comics and Hasbro having the license to make both GI Joe and Transformers, I am really suprised that we haven't seen a GI Joe vs Transformers line of figures yet. The closet thing is the Attacktix game but it isn't quite the same.

Some good ideas have come from this thread. I like a lot of them.
The first time I saw Vector Prime, I thought of Alpha Trion. I think this mold would be a perfect exclusive.
I like the idea of Botcon exclusives. I'm a collector, and I like to know that some figures have more collector's appeal than others. I regret they cost more, but that is the nature of collectable items. I'd rather have them than not. I do think that all figures should be available in a limited release in a way that anyone who wants them can get them, like eHobby. I think the OTFCC has tried to find a balance by selling the main set online but keeping a few figures "convention only."

I agree, and thanks for the vote of confidence.. i like the whole transformers VS Gijoe concept as well, I always wanted to see a Hiss tank transformer, or the A-10 turn into seekers, ect.. ect.. I just figured since the Botcon exclusives aren't mass produced and the molds for the bots themselves are easily available to utilize in creating an exclusive new transformers figure, then why not take what we have seen and build the coolest transformer ever?? just repaint it after your done and walla, new bot, for your collection. Complete with box art, and story ect.. ect..
I understand why the purchase price is so High, its because you have a smaller run, thats produced by another toy maker and not hasbro, and it takes alot to make a toy if its a low run toy and your a small company then it takes higher priceses to sustain that business.
I like the botcon exclusives, though i haven't bought onbe yet, I will once I see one i like. they came close with Antagony, Cat scan, and the optimus primal, still i would like to see a bot thats more car then beast wars figures.. or even a jet..too bad they can't get the MP starscream and repaint it to Sunstorm..

here's a crazy idea. what if they got all the g1 toys that are going to be in the live movie, and paint them in their movie colors. ie g1 prime with the flame paint job or g1 SS in bronze paint

Ok i have a good one, what kinda of character, who was originally a car, if repainted and given an already existing head sculpt would be perfect as a Botcon exclusive made from an Alternator? that would probably rule the Botcon Exclusives especially if he was a G-1 character.. You could use him with the MP-01 Prime.. think how cool that would be, if they retooled one to make it a character we haven't seen??
Can anyone think of a good viable g-1 autobot who never got to be an Alternator or at least a repainted alternator thats similar to his g-1 persona??
THIS GOES OUT TO THE OLD TIMERS TOO, I REALLY WANT THOUGHTFUL FEEDBACK, I JUST MIGHT ASK A KITBASHER FOR HELP IN REALIZING THIS IN ACTUAL TOY FORM , if for nothing else but to show how it could be done and easily reproduced.. maybe I'll even submit it to the Botcon board..

Two reasons why this shouldn't happen:
1) The majority of botcon figures are smaller and range in the 5-8 dollar retail range (original molds). Alts retail at 20 dollars a piece. Botcon sets are what typically five figures or so; one 15 dollar figure and four five buck characters. You're already paying way too much for repaints, imagine what they'd try to ask for if they were to hand out 100 dollars (retail) in figures.
2) I pride myself in a complete collection of Alts. I find it upsetting to know that it would be cheaper for me to fly to Texas and [attempt] to kick some Fun Publication butt than it would be to acquire any "exclusive" set of Alts second hand.
Alternators have a hard enough time selling, if they start making them exclusive for this and that they'll alienate the majority of the remaining fan base and kill the series altogether.

Well, the ambition is honest enough, and I, for one, do want more Alternators. I just want to be able to own them and not simply know they exist.
For now, we need to continue to harass Hasbro for the release Ravage and Rumble. They're two months over due and I don't like that other countries already have Ravage. As I mentioned earlier on this topic, I fear they may become Botcon Exclusives simply because they've dropped off the online toystore radar and I've yet to hear anything back from Hasbro Customer Service when I asked about them.

Though i can't wait for Ravage, i'm not too jazzed about rumble...removable pile drivers with hands would have been cool..

Yeah, I want to be able to transform Rumble before I pass final judgment. Ravage is alright, I think he would've better with maybe one or two modifications. Still, I don't want to spend the money to bring another one overseas to try it.

I personaly think a human character, Spike, Daniel, Sparkplug, ect... in an exo suit, that transforms of corse, would be cool.
