I have looked at the season titles at home and on the site, and still I cannot remember what episode it was where it showed the Constructicons building Megatron. Thanks in advance...

I've noticed that there were 3 different origins for the Contructicons:
(1)It was said (I forget which episode though) that Megatron built them
(2)It showed Megatron using a machine that turns robots into Decepticons on them as they were repairing a building of a city
(3)It shows the them actually building Megatron...
Soooo... which is more accurate?

Ah the glories of ret-con, who really knows?
Also remember back on Cybertron the Constructions were friends with Omega Supreme until Megatron came along and turned them 'Con with the robosmasher.
I like to just go with the IDW Megatron: Origin miniseries and let my mind fuzzily haze over all the conflicting other cannon.

it went something like...
"Scrapper, who was evil, built Megatron. Megatron then used the Robo-Smasher to turn Scrapper who was good, evil. Finally Megatron built Scrapper."
So...Scrapper built him???
Man, it makes no sense....
"It all makes sense."

I like to think this is somewhat likely(and kind of works within all stories):
The Constructicons built Megatron as an experimental military model.
Something went wrong and he turned out evil.
He eventually used the Robo-Smasher to tentacoo wape the Constructicons and turn them evil.
During the war their bodies were destroyed, but their memory chips were able to be extracted and survive(think the storage area where Starscream retrieved the Combaticon's memories).
After arriving on Earth, Megatron had new bodies built for the Constructicons and implanted their old memories and personalities into them(hence why there was no need for Vector Sigma as with the Stunticons).
No continuity errors, really.

That's the best way to reconcile it that I've heard so far. I'm officially adopting your theory.
