I can't say difinitavely, but I'm willing to guess that the post '86 movies figs (with the exception of Magnus) were pure Hasbro/Takara creations.

In 1986 the first original designs started to show up, and the older desgins were phased out, except for these:

- Metroplex and the first 4 Scramble City combiners. They were originally slated for Diaclone
- the third set of Mini-Bots, who were retools of the first set. Wheelie's the exception; he's the only brand new mold.
- Ultra Magnus, a Diaclone release
- Raiden, the last Diaclone design to be used
- Browning, the last Microman design to be used
