I agree with Zombie Starscream except I would have a different order.

1 Soundwave has always been my favorite. He was the first one I saw when I turned the channel and the show was on. His voice and his cold demeanor was just instant attraction and I was sucked in.

2. I don't know Astrotrain always seemed to be cool. I just think its the triple changer thing.

3. Hook, I know weird, but I like that stuck up attitude that he's perfect.

G1 Bumblebee: I always liked the kid brother/underdog/sidekick character.

G1 Starscream: My favourite Seeker used to be Skywarp until I got into Starscream's character. He's conniving. It gives him a flavour most of the other Decepticons don't have.

G1 Astrotrain: Not sure if he's my third, but I don't know if I have a third. Astrotrain was my favourite Triple Changer because he was a shuttle. I think most people liked Blitzwing, but for me, my money was on Astrotrain.

Cheating ahoy!

1) Sunstreaker and Sideswipe. Although they never got much screentime, I loved the bits of characterisation we got. Remember the arm-wrestling in the background? Or Sideswipe's "shortcut" in Bali? And jet judo rules.

2) The Dinobots (season 1 and 2). I wish season 3 hadn't lobotomised them, because it was interesting to see the Autobots deal with what may have been the first true "children" Transformers had ever known.

3) Skyfire. Much-maligned by Decepticon apologists, but he had the cast-iron manifolds to do what he thought was right, even when it meant going against his best (and maybe only, by this time) friend.

Sorry about the first two being groups rather than individuals, but they're listed for the same reasons, so... yeah, that's alright.

1) G1 and Movie Starscream - G1 version simply due to his constant banter with Megatron...He's sort of a comic relief but he's extremely powerful plus he's a jet and it doesn't get much cooler than that. The movie version didn't get much screen time but every scene he was in he was doing something cool. Whether firing missles from the Hoover Dam to deceiving the humans / Autobots into thinking he was a legit Raptor while flying in only to take out Bumblebee's leg.

2) G1 Megatron - Love his dialogue with with Starscream / Prime...yes he's always retreating but he's very powerful and is always conjuring up crazy plans (Kremzeek or the episode when he combined all of the Decpticons powers and called Prime out for a duel). Plus he has the coolest weapon of all time...The Fusion Cannon!

3) Tie between Soundwave / Wheeljack / Jetfire...Soundwave because he's a spy, his voice is awesome, Wheeljack becuase he's a Scientist and makes things and Jetfire primarily for his alt mode.
