I'll vote for MP-04 or 20th Anniversary Prime, as the trailer isn't worth $150, given that one can find 20AP at Wal-Mart on clearance these days.
Note that Energon Prime resembles The Can from Total Annihilation.

20th anniversary prime helped me to read newspapers, he wins for that alone.

There is NOTHING RiD Prime can't do.
He cooks your meals.
He fixes your cars.
He watches you while you sleep.
You forgot that he also take ur girlfriend, and pees on the couch.

Why is it that RID Prime, which is a fire truck, is consistantly ranked as one of the best Primes of all time according to this thread, but people are throwing a fit on the movie threads that Movie Prime is a different style of truck than G1 (among the least of the complaints)? I also like how some people might almost be willing to accept him as a different style truck but they claim the flames just have to go or they won't watch the movie.
I actually really like RID Prime. He might be different but he is an awesome looking figure none the less. I also like the fact that both he and Magnus can combine together. Now if I could just find one at a reasonable price....

people just need something to bitch about.
i think it has to do with the fact that hes supposed to be g1 optimus, not any of the others.
personaly i love his design, and cant wait to see it on the big screen and get the toy.
now on to matters at hand my fave primes in this order are:
MP-01
Classics voyager optimus prime (because thats what ive been wanting since lazer rod prime)
Super Fire Convoy, and his union into super god convoy
cyb optimus/gf galaxy convoy
now character wise, ide have to say this order:
g1 optimus prime
beastwars optimus primal

"They're playing with him... and when they're done they're going to play with me.... OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!!!"

RID Prime was the very first fully articulated uber poseable "vehicle" "Truck" prime we got since before Beast-wars. Wer had been many years without a Red and blue Prime.
For Whatever reason, the Articulation and poseablity of the figure went a long way, even as far as placing his additional modes in a secondary status. He has lights and sounds which amaizingly enough are not annoying as some of the figures lines that followed have been (Skorponok's tail wirring comes to mind). Has and incredible amount of Battle modes fort a single figure, and combines with another figure to form an even bigger figure. that is fully armed, what is better than that.
It combined alot of what we wanted from a prime and then some.
However Movie Prime... was a victim of incredibly high hopes for the movie figures, and the discrepancies it has with its supposed source material. Every body was hoping for this incredibly detailed and articulated G1 looking Prime. With all this great stuff and then we get this. A Highly detailed and articulated Prime that is not the G1 prime everybody expected. In and of itself Movie prime is not a bad figure. Its actually a really good figure, and an O.K. Prime. I've grown to actually like it, and can't wait for it to be available for purchase. However most people stuck with the idea that the movie was going to faithfully reproduce the G1 era characters. And we were sadly disappointed. But we just need to outgrow that. and see that the figures are pretty good. Even if they are not what we had hoped for at the beginning.

I would say that The best Prime ever is :
1st: Generation 1 Optimus Prime
2st: Masterpiece Optimus Prime
3st: Generation 2 Combat"Hero" Optimus Prime
4st: Pepsi Optimus Prime "Convoy"
5st: Galaxy Force Optimus Prime
^^ Well that is my list! And cause GF Prime was on 5st place over alot of other Primes is cause i like hes Sonic-Wing-Mode, and hes Matrix.
