I know alot of people will say optimus prime and megatron for a number of reasons. But for it has to be wheeljack and rachet on the autobot side simple because they are guys of patched the autobots up after battle also because wheeljack as a toy was just plan cool. The decepticon is astrotrain what can you say about astrotrain he was space shuttle that turn into steam engine but he could also carry the constructicons when they were combine and still have room for soundwave and bunch of others also the toy wasn't to bad either.

For me- it was rodimus. I hated him as a kid when Prime died. Over the years I have learned to like the depth of the character- hes not prefect at all- very human like flaws and all, but still a leader. The more TF history I learn about, the more I like him. He just grows on you.

As for decepticon- I really like Sixshot.....maybe thats weird- it was the wow factor for me as a kid.

my favorite autobot was always swoop, followed closely by jazz.

For the cons its far to close to judge. As far as the cartoon it would be soundwave. toy/comics soundwave/shockwave.

I always found Thundecracker and Mirage to be the most intriguing characters, mostly due to their lack of real belief in their factions. Seems like the attitude I would have if I was a TF.

Prime as my number 1 favorite but..

Autobots: Ironhide (one of the best voices in G1)
Decepticons: tie between Starscream Thundercracker and Skywarp

Maximals: Rattrap
Predacons: Waspinator and Quickstrike

Couldn't see RID Armada Energon or Cybertron due to working when they were on alot. ;\

Movie bot: Ironhide (he's a friggen diesal pickup ;O )
Movie Con: no character depth so cant choose =\

Autobot: It will always be Optimus Prime at #1, but after him, I'd say probably Rodimus or Grimlock.
Decepticon: Starscream

Autobot: I'd be forced to say G1 Optimus here. Others worth mentioning are Superlink Inferno and BW Dinobot.

Decepticon: G1 Soundwave all the way.

My favorite Autobot was always Grimlock, probably because he was my favorite TF as a kid, closely followed by Prowl. My favorite Decepticon would probably be Starscream or Soundwave

Autobot: Sideswipe, Jazz or Rodimus Prime.
Decepticon: Galvatron(cause he's friggin crazed, lol)Blitzwing, and Swindle

(Sideswipe, because he has the "Jet Judo" thing, and made Starscream say uncle and drop him into the sea. that's how cool he is)

my favorite Autobot would be...oh gosh I'm drawing a blank...I'd have to say...Ratchet I guess I don't like the Autobots that much...

For my favorite Decepticon I'd have to say G1 Starscream and Soundwave...I also like Armada Megatron because he looks like a reindeer to me as you can see by my sig.
