Alright. In the next day or two I need to decide on what I'm doing for work.
Right now I'm working 3 days a week, 12 and a half hour shifts, with the option for a 4th day at either 8 hours or the full shift, only if I want to. And I usually don't feel like it. The job is only 3 or 4 miles up the road from me and is quite easy to get to. They don't treat people well though, it's a factory, it's hot, and we make exhaust systems for car manufacturers. Hours are 6pm to 6:30am. Guarenteed 4 days off.
So we'll label that as option A).
Option B would consist of going to work for Walmart unloading trucks, a store that's about 11-12 miles up the interstate, second shift from 2-11pm, 5 days a week, every six weeks you supposedly get an entire weekend off. I hate second shift on a daily basis. The pay is less per hour, but I get 4 extra hours, so it comes out to 3 bucks more a week on this option, but I'll easily spend that in gas because it's farther away. Plus it's Walmart. So two days off a week, but they could be any two days, and not back to back. Plus putting up with the public, which hasn't been historically fun with me.
So what would you do with these two choices? A or B?
Edit: My gf is an assistant manager at another walmart. But they pay her very well, unlike the hourly positions.
Work decision, help choose an option

al i can say having worked for wal-mart, I did very little there and they still thought i was one of their best employees, very easy to just dick around and slack off, most of my shift was spent in the breakroom playing PSP, but then again, I was working on the floor, in papers and chemicals, pets on weekends, so really didn't have much to do, may be different unloading trucks

Go with the factory work. Its closer so you spend less money on gas. Plus you have more time off. You can still get up early enough to to get all the things you need to get done during the day. I am also guessing that their benifits package would be better than Wal-Mart's. Plus if you hate dealing with customers, than Wal-Mart probably wouldn't suit you. I know I couldn't work their because of that. I know that the factory work is hard, but it may be the better option. That is the one I would go for.

Yeah man, I would go with option A, if anything for the 4 days off. I'd kill to have a schedule like that.
There's nothing wrong with working retail (I've done it myself for many years), but I haven't heard many good things from my friends who have worked at walmart.
If your work life at the factory isn't absolutely unbearable, I'd stick with that.
