I'll have to think up this one, as i have LOADS of fave movies, so narrowing them down to 20 will be a toughie.

I'll have to come back with more of a definative list as this is really a hard one. Terry Gilliam, the Pythons generally and Bryan Singer are all likely (read: certain) to feature, but there's that thing of "If I put one Gilliam movie down should I let myself put another?". A couple that haven't been mentioned that I can watch time and again are 'This is Spinal Tap', absolutely hilarious and the birthplace of the documentary style format being used for comedy and 'Things to do in Denver When You're Dead' a really underrated gangster flick. I don't think anyone's mentioned 'Being John Malkovitch' yet either. Love that movie. It just says so much about the nature of celebrity and the whole thing of 'who you know' rather than 'what you can do'.

Some of the ones that have been mentioned that are likely to make it on to a more considered list:

'Falling Down', cinematic perfection. This would be a contender just based on the scene in the burger place.

'V For Vendetta', so much more of Alan Moore's work should get the big screen treatment. Can't wait to see what get's done with 'Watchmen', Gilliam had the rights to that for a while but alas it was not to be.

'Team America', f**k yeah! Even if the whole theme wasn't about debasing Holywood this would have to make it just for 'Pearl Harbour Sucked'.

I've also got a soft spot for both 'Sin City' and 'Mystery Men' which I don't think any one else has mentioned. "I'm the PMS Avenger, I only work three days a month. Any of you guys got a problem with that?" Win. Pure win. Stiller picks the best scripts to work on.
