Do we talk about Transformers here past and future and current? What would everyone like me to say? I was in a Transformers movie and everyone one of you trashed my thread including you with another cheap stab. The replies don't make sense. Am I allowed to talk about my Transformers experience here or not?
The hostility stems from the manner of your posts. You're taking yourself far too seriously and coming across as a bit of an arrogant arsehole. For example repeatedly stating "I've been in a Transformers movie" and asking "who else here has been in a Transformers movie?" comes across as self-glorifying. This is the Internet, people are going to take the piss out of you when you have an attitude like that. Especially when you appear to think that we should hold you in reverence because you were in the background scenes of what was frankly a terrible movie.
James_Lunddon wrote:The hostility stemmed from prior posts long before that Blast. Did you have any questions you wanted to ask me about being in Transformers 4? Did you want to know anything else about me? I did explain more of my acting history in other posts. Would you like to know of any other projects I have been in or currently in?

Well I'd disagree. The initial hostility arose from your reaction to a few lighthearted comments of 'what's in it for me?' after you asked us to become part of your 'fanbase'. You didn't seem interested in us finding out more about you or your acting history at first; instead declaring how you'd been in the film, that you wanted to get onto the next one and as such we should all help you do so by becoming part of your fanbase.
Then came the tirade of 'aren't you Transformers fans? I've been in Transformers film. What films have any of you been in?' like you are entitled to expect us to just fawn over you because you appeared as an extra in a film that involved hundreds of others. Perhaps it was all a big misunderstanding and lack of online etiquette.

Honestly, that pretty much sums it up, IMO. I'm not trying to be mean, just realistic, like I said before. I wish you nothing but the best in your career in acting, whether you want to be a "working actor" or a "movie star." However, as far as acting is concerned, when it comes to this place, it's a very small part of a section (Live Action movie forum) on this site, and getting our support probably required you to go a different way about it than you did. I understand what you're trying to do, get support for you to appear in more TF films. It makes sense to come to a fan site for Transformers. However, you did it kinda heavy-handed. You basically said, "Here I am, this is what I did, now support me!!!" As if we were supposed to think you were so awesome because you had a 5-10 second non-speaking role in a TF film. Like I said before, I congratulate you for getting the role, no matter how small. It's the way to get started, make contacts in the business, and perhaps have it lead to bigger things. But don't get it blown out of proportion, it was just what it was. A small role, that quite frankly, I could have done. Not having to express emotions through facial expression and/or dialogue pretty much negates the need for acting classes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you wasted your time getting them, because you will probably get to use what they taught you in the future. I'm just saying that when it came to this role, between you and me there wouldn't have been much of a difference. I have no problem with you being in TF4, and I do hope you get a bigger role in the next film, if nothing else than to prove yourself. You're welcome here, at least by me, even if the tone of some of our replies might have suggested otherwise. It's actually neat to have a member of the boards be a part of the live action production.
