Jin's Final Battle Blackout

Posted by Jin Saotome Fri Oct 19, 2007 3:39 am

It's Blackout again. Like my first one he's been repainted from head to toe, this time however he's been give then 'battle worn' treatment. There's three shades of gray, light gray wear-streaks on his vehicle mode and silver-scuffs on his robot mode. I created twin EMP blasters simply out of the many spare BB shoulder cannons I have and whipped up a rotor-blade weapon from a $2 diecast Helicopter. The shoulder missile pods were from that Kid Connection humans-vs-aliens set I got at Wal Mart.

Awesome work as always. I have to say, seeing your work is what got me into repainting my figures.

Another materpiece.
I kinda liked the old one, but this looks more practical as something Hasbro'd try. Good work on an accurate toy, as well.

But, were we really expecting anything else?

PS, can I offer a suggestion?
Is it possible to modify his original toy rotor blades to use as a weapon, cause it'd rock if you did that.

Nice job. I especially like the hands. They look so stupid in that off white color straight out of the box.

u should make dead decepticons. Like a headless bonecrusher with battle damage. Or a blackout with a scourched hole in his chest just an idea, but i think u could pull it off

Dear Jin,

Saw your BLACKOUT and if you dont mind me saying..something.

ITS COOOL looks alot better than Hasbro however, are you trying to follow the movie version ? Or something on your own? As if you are trying to follow the movie version, I think there is alot of areas needed to be updated.

I am not trying to be a Pain in the ASS but all I want is to share with customizer like you and we all can improve our work ...HOPE YOU DONT MIND ME SAYIN.

The Blackout BLue is WRONG...If you do some research from the US MILITARY Copter, they dont use BLUE but GREY. Try Sea Gull Grey from Testor. And do you use air brush ? As i can see here that the figure are all paint brush...painting military aircrafts using paint brush will evntually spoil the final out look and all windows frames ( YELLOW is missing ) Black out Metal does not look like that...as if you look at the Transformers characters the iron or metal parts is something like our Exzos Pipe......too much Dry Brushing... and the Navy logo is way wrong to be put at the tail....

Im a collector and love to see everyones work and enjoy it everytime they improve...

Try airbrushing it, im sure it will turn out even WOW than what you have now...by the way, LOVE your KILLZONE FIGURE !!!!

KEEP IT UP !!!

Nice job. The "dirty" look is althroughout. Very nice. Unlike my stock Blackout, only the upper tail portion has the "dirty" treatment. The rest of the chopper is squeaky clean blue.
