"People who think "Michael Bay raped my childhood" need to see some other films from the past such as teh Super Mario Bros. movie and the He-man/Masters of the Universe movie."
NO KIDDING. He-Man was horrid, I remember how much that one let me down as a kid. And Super Mario was a mess too. With TF we got half decent movies at least.
I never saw SUper Mario Bros., but I happen to love the Dolph Lungren MOTU movie. Yes, hammy 'acting' and dated special effects, but all things considered, I'd rather watch the old MOTU than ROTF. Acting in MOTU is really no worse than that in ROTF, just as an opinion.
NO, I'm not saying that to be difficult, but rather it is a relfection of fact, since my DVD collection at home contains exactly one (1) copy of MOTU on DVD, and zero (0) copies of ROTF on DVD, on purpose mind you. So, no ROTF slam, simply a fact as is portrayed in my life.
On topic, I am confused as to why the infusion of 'core mythology' equals the Dinobots necessarily. Maybe I missed an update or something, but I remember the article with Bay calling the Dinos stupid and whatnot. But why is core mythos being directly equated to the Dinobots and not something like, the matrix not being a jagged prop which readily turns to dust?
If it's because the Dinobots are older in the storyline than the Matrix is, then any guess of core myth is off, becuase now we're just going to look at things in terms of their ages.
EDIT:: I realize its all specualtion, by the way.
