It looks as though CrazyDevy isn't the only third-party company with their eye's on your G1 Devastator. Junkion Blacksmith, the company responsible for the Infinity Warfare weapon sets and the Optimus Prime and Soundwave Headmasters, has posted the following CGI render to their weibo page. The set is dubbed JB-07 and appears to be a set of G1 Devastator upgrades very similar to those already brought to market by CrazyDevy.

There are a few notable differences here between the CrazyDevy sets and these. These appear to have a built in elbow joint, where the CrazyDevy forearms rely on their connector points for movement. The hip section also has integrated waist armor. I'll be interested to see how these two sets compare. Maybe the reason there isn't a new head is because they are planning a Headmaster for him.

If this set is even close to the $20 - $30 range, you could pick up a loose G1 Devastator and the upgrade for less than the CrazyDevy stuff!

As for a Headmaster.... I hope not.

At first, I was read to blow this off. But if they find a way to sell this as a complete upgrade set and the fit/finish are good, I'll actually consider upgrading my G1 Devs. I just can get behind Crazy Devy with their high prices and piece-by-piece philosophy.

Seriously they should have picked a less confusing name.

ive got some of the devastator figures lying around somewhere, maybe i can pick up the rest for cheap and upgrade them if this set isnt as rediculously expensive as CD's.

it would be cool to have the G1 set complete as i build TFC's Hercules next to it over the next year!

This is actually pretty clever marketing on their part. When the Encore Devy set comes out later this year it's going to put a lot more people in the G1 Devy upgrade market that weren't there before due to either not having a G1 Devy or not wanting to put the upgrades on their vintage set. Now those fans will have two options, and this one already looks to be superior set. Not to mention you don't have to buy the pieces individually. I wonder if CrazyDevy will release a boxset of all the upgrades to along with the Encore release?

They might, but the price tag will be higher than what Encore Devastator will be selling for.

If this is reasonably priced, I'd be interested for my upcoming Encore Dev. If it's similar to what Crazy Devy's runs, it's not really necessary with Hercules on the way.

I'm glad Junkion Blacksmith are making this set and I have my fingers crossed it's going to come out looking great. If it's priced similar to their weapons/predaking fist set i'm all over it.

I have never tried any of the Crazy Devy stuff as the prices were, in my opinion, overpriced.

I have just one more Crazy Devy piece to go, so this holds no interest for me ... but that doesn't mean it isn't a good idea. Sure Crazy Devy did it first , but the prices are insane. Unless this costs as much as a complete vintige Devestator, thi sis probably bettwe than the CD sets.

Why, oh why do the third parties seem to keep rehashing/ripping off each other's ideas? There are plenty of TF figures begging for an upgrade - why cover old ground?
